Where do I begin! Our move date was set for 5/1/We were asked to give an inventory of the items we hadWe gave the list and realized we left a few items out so we called and had our list updatedThe updated list was sent to usMy husband and I took the beds apart and even took it out of the bedrooms so it was all just easy to haul outWe had everything packed and ready t haul outWe even took the recliners apart for ease of moveMoving date arrived and the office called that they were going to add a 4th man to the job because of the boxes and bicycles we added (a few days ago) I advised them that we will not pay for an additional manMy husband and I decided to make trips in the am and we took boxes from the I had advisedPutting us below what we advisedThey were hour and minutes lateThey arrived with men even after I told them we were only paying for the three we were quoted especially since we decreased the loadThe crew lead immediately says this is going to take longer than the hours we were quoted and I asked why? he said of there is a lot of stuff in here and I said there isn't a lot of stuff in here but what do you need from meHe said that he needed me to sign a document authorizing them for hoursI said okay fine and signed itI went to our second stop down the street and my husband calls me that the crew member said he had no idea there was a second stop and oh this is going to be a lot more moneyI went back and said what do you mean you didn't know it's right here on my quote so he stutters and says oh I have to contact the office and work stopsSo he starts working againThey cleared out the apartment in minutes!!! So I was wondering why he said he needed hours (especially since he claimed he didn't know there was another stop) We arrive at the second stopHe starts saying oh I don't have room for all of this I'm sorry I can't take itI said what do you mean Everything here is on my list We moved all this stuff in a smaller truck than the one you have hereHe didn't want to do a checklist with me of what was on the list and went to call the officeSo I called the office as wellThe office said He never said they didn't have room he said he doesn't have enough time so I walked outside had him on speaker and asked did you or did you not say you didn't have room? he said yes but and I cut him off and said so what do you mean he didn't say that he just admitted it so then he says "uh uh uh You have double of what you said and I said okay why don't we go over the list and check off with your crew what is here to see if I missed something and If I missed something you can leave it behindHe didn't want to do thatOf course he didn't because they were just asking me to authorize them another trip and knew they were trying to scam me! They said I had to pay them right there and then or they were going to unload my stuffThe entire time they had excuses and I confronted themSo I told them I will authorize more hours even though it only took them minutes to clear out the firsts place as long as long as you send an email to the email we have been confirming everything through that you will reimburse us if it takes less than what you are statingHe said okay he will put it on his document and I said no way there is no copier and he is just a contractor You can say he acted on his behalf and not yoursSend me the emailHe said fine all upset about itThen a few minutes later the crew lead comes to me and says I'm sorry miss we are being instructed to unload the truck, They unloaded everything in my second stop! So we had to sleep on the floor with our pets in the old apartment and ask the owner for an extra days while we squared this awayWhen I mentioned that I would be calling my attorney I then receive a call from the manager who was previously yelling at me over the phone saying he was very sorry and boy was his tone differentI told him off because at this point my stress level was unbearableWho does this to people! EZ Movers does! I hope people consider looking elsewhere for their moving needs because they are definitely scamming peopleThankfully we squared it away with another moving company who was so nice and handle itI will not mention their name so no one thinks I'm advertising for themI just hope this review makes people realize if using this company is the best optionI don't like writing bad reviews but these people have forced me to post this everywhere that I can to ensure others know to beware

Would never use this place again!!!! They quoted us a price of $which wasn't bad compared to the other companies for long distance moveOnce they arrived the person told us our medium boxes were large boxes and small boxes were medium which we had one small box onlyHe then goes to say they charging us $for tape & $for skrink wrap but the covering blankets are freewhich we were told it would be free but we had already bubble wrapped & skrink wrap our furniture as well as boxed our items so we only needed the blanketsWhen called the place to dispute the charges the person who's been handling our request was of course unavailableAnother negative let's not forget about the hidden fees they fail to tell you about before signing with themThey ended up charging us an extra $for tape, skrink wrap, extra square feet in the truck(which really doesn't make any sense)Very disgusted!!!!!! Once arrived the movers were a day late & tried to charge us $more to move our things into the house because they couldn't fit the truck into the apartment complcompMy husband spoke with Kevin who was all about getting our business but once paperwork was signed & our money spent he just didn't care at all & was all about getting the moneyThere was no accommodation but was told we would get back $for them being a day lateThe mover then told my husband to give him $on the side & they'll move our things inThis type of business deserves no recognition for "good quality" work!!! They are nothing but con artists at its best

I had a bad experience with this company I gave them the inventory over the phone, each item The nice lady on phone said...oh yes, you qualify for X, no problemAnd gave me the quote When the drivers arrived, instead of going through inventory he immediately said...oh no way, this isn't XIt will be MORE! Then upon delivery, they had this GIANT semi delivering one studio of things to an apartment complex and all of a sudden the semi was the wrong type of vehicle since it was too big so I had to pay additional labor and another vehicle so they could move the things out of the semi and into a smaller vehicle, then into the apartment They knew in advance it was an apartment complex They always just say...oh we can deal with that when we get there...meaning they can't wait to charge you more money So whatever they quote...double it! Bunch of crooks!

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I was never given a choice of insurance and was told not to worry by the pick up movers.Then was told to sign in a few places for acknowledgement of pick up, box and item count, and payment.Also in addition there was damage to my person dining room table which was both documented on the claim and delivery slip, but doesn't appear on their offerSincerely, [redacted] ***

Despite our efforts to prevent damage, it is impossible to guarantee that no damage will occur. We do everything, for all of our clients, to try and attempt to prevent damage. We bubble wrap, blanket pad, custom crate, shrink wrap, and move with care, all items. Despite all of this, some damage does occur occasionally. Because damage to any item is a possibility while relocating, we offer full replacement value coverage. We provide this information during the initial estimation process, we provide this information again when scheduling your move, and then once again at the time of signing the contract during pick up. We can't force anyone to purchase additional coverage if they choose not. Again, the outcome of the claim was based on the contractual agreement and the level of coverage chosen by the client. We politely decline to increase our current offer.

Many items were damaged and boxes were not delivered I documented all the damage in addition to the items that were not delivered I even found a box that was not mine at all but someone else's in another state I documented all of this and submitted this for claims and they denied all findings saying all damage happened previously to moving it and that all boxes were delivered I have all my documents and pictures, they have nothing! These are the facts Never use this company again I will look at what I can do legally at this time

we had a very positive experience with EZ Movers when my dad moved out of his house in NovemberThe guys worked very hard and got everything packed, loaded, and delivered in less than the estimated time we were given they treated all of our furniture with respect as well as our familyI was truly impressed by the effort of all the guys!

Starting @ the beginning, the rate went from to The truck shows up to load and they want $3000, w/on the spot instead of the $disgustMy mom is years old on retirement!! So they took the $on July., 28, then took another $on Aug3rd(her whole social security)Now we need to come up with another $for the to actually deliver and instead of delivering on the 5th as we thought, they still have my mom's things EVERYTHING!! With no word of delivery date except they have until 9//to deliver!!! Disgusting!!!!

The Worst and most Expensive experience Ever Run from this company, they charge extra for anything and everything, their hired help is from [redacted] ( we waited hours for help to show up after the mover placed the ad ) and they Still have no date for delivery of my stuff and it's been days so far and could be up to another ( that day guarantee doesn't count weekends )Unbelievably rude after they have your deposit-I really wish I'd have hired Anybody elseThis company is Awful!

No clueNone of it was correctI asked they change it on the spotApparently, they changed it on the paper but not in the records so my furniture was still going to God knows where and a stranger would get a call about it, not me Then they began walking through my apartment adding up the additional chargesThe materials they told me to purchase over the phone apparently were not suitable for long distance movesThat's fineProtect my thingsHowever, the purpose of my calling was toget information from "professionals" on what I needed to buy forlong distance movesLater the owner told me I should have Googled it if I really caredSo I wasted my money purchasing materials, time wrapping things in double wrap, only to be charged a ton in additional feesPlease note, the fees were minimal for the materials$tape rolls, some double rap etc, but for EACH piece of material there is a $labor cost$Tape + $Labor to use the tapeEtcRidiculous The movers were relatively fast while they moved, drank beer and left bottles, and reminded me that I need to pay them a tipThey said the fees were not their fault, they were just doing their jobCall the office after the weekend about my complaints Monday maybe Tuesday I called the officeThey said fill out the complaint form and submit itThey would get back to meThey did notLater in the week (I am sure the owner will write back with exact dates and an aggressive rebuttal) I called to see when my furniture would be delivered and to also check on my complaintThe owner answered this timeI explained rather politely that I wanted an estimate on delivery and to follow up on a complaintRather answer the first question (where is my stuff) he says he does not appreciate me bashing his businessBashing? It was an internal complaintHe reminds me quite confidently that he has gotten many articles written about him in the news papers and is Revdex.com accreditedThe things I purchased were not suitable and I should ask the store for a refund, not himThen asked "so what do you want me to do?" How about #tell em where my furniture is, #tell me where will it be delivered because all of the information YOU wrote down was completely incorrectInstead, he said I should have called to verify the information was correct and if I was negligent enough to pay a deposit and never receive an email confirmation Whoa, slow down, no need to get aggressiveI just want to know when my things will be delivered and ask that the address, email and phone number be updated so they do not end up in LaLa landHe continues to tell me that he sent emailsI said yes to the wrong email addresshe doesn't acknowledge he did anything in error but insists I was negligent not to call and verify Long story short the owner is awfulThe associates were rather nice (outside of the movers insisting I give them each a %tip upfront)The owner did not verify my email address, phone number, or even delivery addressHe was incapable of offering satisfactory customer serviceI never received the email to track my moving truck as promised in the pitchThe truck that arrived was not the truck bragged about on the website (see attached)I did receive my furniture, though, with scratches on the walls to prove itCouldn't find the nails to my daughters crib eitherThanks for that I would never recommend anyone use this service unless they are looking for a service where the owner is insulting and rude to them, or they are eager to spend a couple hundred extra dollars to pay for surprise suppliesOh, more importantly, if you're looking for a mover to take all of your furniture and attempt to deliver it to the wrong address and not have the competency to wright down your correct phone number, these are your guys

I would not recommend them for the following reasons- UnreliableWe scheduled a moving at 8:00am on Thursday, can they called us at 8:00am on Thursday telling us they could no longer do the job- ShadyThey asked if we could pay them in cashWould not provide an email or a valid address

I used EZ Movers a year ago August I'm posting a year later because I still become very upset every time I think about my experience, and I want to prevent others from experiencing something similar When I setup the appointment, I was given a quote on the phone and told that I would pay after the move, at our new locationThe price was pretty affordable, and I was late in scheduling, so I committed to using them over the phoneWhen the movers arrived at my apartment the day of the move, they immediately doubled the price, and made me immediately payWhen I contested the doubled cost, they packed up their things and began leavingI had to be out of my apartment that day, so I paid up frontThroughout the entire day, the movers were argumentativeOne actually pulled me aside and apologized for the othersNext, their truck already had two prior sets of furniture in itMy things were the last to be loadedThey didn't have enough room in their truck, so they loaded my dad's van and my car as much as they couldLater, when we arrived at my new apartment, my fiancé and I began to notice several crushed boxes and damaged wooden furnitureLiterally, every piece of wooden furniture I owned was damagedAfter the movers left, and I had things unpacked, I called the owner to tell him what happenedHe was equally as combative as the movers were and only offered to fix my damaged furnitureHe didn't address the fact that the movers began to leave when I refused to pay the doubled price or that they had to use my dad's van and my car to complete the moveThe owner just argued with me about how they would go about fixing my furniture, whether I needed to send it to them or whether they would come to my new apartmentAt that point, I wanted to cut my losses, get over the whole thing, and focus on moving forward I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't such a traumatic experience The other people who were with me during my move, such as my parents and my fiancé, believe EZ Movers are scam artists because of the doubling in price, not having enough room in their truck to move all my items, and damaging my furnitureI don't think EZ Movers did anything illegal, but they were certainly dishonest in leading me to believe that the price would be cheaper and that they would have a truck available on my move date to transport all my items

I apologize for Mr [redacted] negative experience with EZ MoversWe make every attempt to include all charges in the estimates we provide our clients and inform them of any potential additional chargesWe sent Mr [redacted] a confirmation letter via email (approximately days prior to the move date) which was signed and returnedThis document includes all terms and conditions, as well as potential accessorial chargesMr [redacted] signed acknowledging, "All locations outside of the Chicagoland area must have trailer access to avoid additional shuttle charge- Shuttle fee is $per cubic feet of goods plus the truck rental fee(to be determined at time of move"We reviewed the details for His previous move, in which he claims the same size truck delivered to the PA location without charge; we found the truck that delivered him previously was a ftstraight truck, the truck that came this time around was a foot semi-tractor trailerUnfortunately, we cannot accurately ascertain the access in most cases until we arrive to the location and sometimes we find that a shuttle service is requiredAt no time do we "hold hostage" the contents of the shipmentMr [redacted] was given the option of having the delivery made to a public storage location with semi access to avoid paying the shuttle fee, which he refusedThe only alternative option, since he refused to pay the shuttle service fee and also refused to accept delivery to a more accessible location, was to then deliver his goods to a public storage facility of our choosing which Mr [redacted] also refused and stated that he would not pay the remaining balance for services already renderedWe regret the circumstances, however, they were unavoidable in this caseMr [redacted] filed a claim which was reviewed and addressed and according to the terms and conditions within the bill of lading and contractual agreementIf he would like his claim reassessed, he's more than welcome to provide receipts of purchase for the items in questions showing their weights to be greater than the weights according to the promover military weights and measures we go byAt this time, Mr [redacted] has received a compensation offer of $which is our current position on this matter
