Mr***, I have reviewed your claim with *** *** and *** ***(my employees), also with *** *** the claims adjusterAfter a few discussions of the matter and their statementsI feel we shouldn't be responsible for your faulty treadmill as you advised my employees that
there was sensitivity issues with the screen to begin with, before we even moved itAs procedure we always disassemble any articles that is deemed too large to fit through any entry or exit point of any structureYou also mentioned to *** *** that your treadmill was brought down by a single personDid you see the treadmill actually be brought down as a whole unit and brought into the room without any disassembly, by one person? If not, then I can safely say that it must of been taken apart or the person who brought down your treadmill must of damaged it while bringing it into the spaceI don't feel like we should be responsible for someone elses damageI was also informed by *** *** you wanted them to set the top of the screen on a tote instead of some padding*** went to go run to the truck to get padding, but by the time he had returned you had *** already put the screen downWas this the cause of screens demise? Maybe, maybe notWe don't cover any old damage as it's mentioned in your contract, that you signedIt's also mentioned in the terms of service on our website. The day I came over to look at your treadmills condition, at your new location where you now resideWasn't an acknowledgment of damages that was supposedly caused by usIt was more of an inspection to see if there was actual physical damage to your treadmill that could be documentedI agreed with you that the LCD screen looked unresponsive, but again if there was no existing issues with your treadmill, before we moved it, then I would been fine with the cost of the repairing your treadmillI hope you can understand my point of view on this matter.Since there was issues to begin with, I feel that I shouldn't have to cover this repair cost.I know we took your job on such a short notice, due to the urgency of your situation, with the previous moving company dropping you last secondWe usually wont book such a large move job within that time span as we like to come out and do an overview of inventory days to weeks prior to the move dateSo we can log any preexisting damagesI know how this must feel, but please understand that we wouldn't intentionally do damage to your stuff as we're not in the business to break things, because that would be a terrible business model, for most businesses unless your in demolition

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
Mr [redacted], I was glad to see that you responded to the Revdex.com request, as you failed to sign for the certified letter I sent previously.   First, the [redacted] Store of S.Portland had delivered and installed the Landice treadmill without incident. They still have the documentation concerning the sale and delivery of the treadmill. I find it disturbing that you would attempt to implicate them in damaging the treadmill. It had worked flawlessly until your employees moved it.  There had been no previous damage as you claim.Your employees had adequate opportunity to check any of my equipment for previous  damage.  Concerning taking the unit apart, safe removal of the tower required that the front of the treadmill be propped up and the bolts securing the tower be removed from underneath. Your employees turned the unit over when I was not present and rested the entire 300 pounds on the top of the tower which is curved plastic. I grabbed a large tote that was nearby when I returned,  with the intent that they support the base on it, not use it to rest the tower on. At that moment, I was concerned with the safety of your employees. What they did was dangerous to themselves and lacked common sense. Turning the unit over and resting the tower on any surface risked damage to the components of the tower.  The LCD screen demonstrates horizontal cracks which would be consistent with flexure of the tower. The damage likely occurred at this point or, possibly when they reassembled it at the new location. I was not present when it was reassembled. I had read [redacted]'s letter initially rejecting my insurance claim. As you know, she had not reached out to me to get a statement and, as a result, I filed an appeal with your insurer, [redacted] Insurance Group.Ms. [redacted] had since left their employ. The new adjuster, [redacted], then reviewed my claim. In her letter to me, she rejected my claim, not because it had no merit, but because you were not insured properly in the first placeHer words: "In Short, the policy does not provide coverage for the personal property in the care of the insured or for damages related to the insured's use of an auto."Your contract clearly states that your customers property is insured while in your possession. I believe that I might have a right to a complete refund of your charges due to misrepresentation. I have attempted to resolve this claim as simply as possible. If you persist in not reimbursing me for the repair of my treadmill, I will proceed to the next step, which is to file a complaint with the consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's Office.I will not only ask that I be reimbursed for the repair of my treadmill, but that they take action against your company for misrepresentation of your insurance coverage. I would not have engaged your company, even at that late date, had I known my property would not be insured while in your care. Sincerely, [redacted]I will request reimbursement for the treadmill damage, as well as, action be taken against your company for misrepresenting your insurance coverage.
Regards,
[redacted]
