Unfortunately, after reviewing this account I am not sure how any of the numbers reported by Ms. [redacted] were even given to her because I can't find any of these to be accurate.
I am enclosing a copy of the...

payment history and a front page of the contract highlighting the proper way to calculate a payoff. What Ms. [redacted] was probably not aware of was that every payoff calculation has an expiration date because it changes monthly with every new billing, Also, every month that she did not make her monthly payment, the monthly payment was pulled from her credit balance with a percentage going toward monthly rental charges.
Her current payoff which is good until 6/17/15 is $1907.90 and if she was to pay her contract out until the end, which is 23 more payments, she will pay $5276.33.
Early Pay Off Calculation;
25 payments made x monthly payment (before tax) $228.07 x 60% = $3421.05. Subtract from cash price on contract of $5473.75 (before tax).
Add sales tax of 5,5% and subtract current credit balance on account.
This is the early pay off calculation and I'm not able to verify that any of the numbers that Ms. [redacted] stated were provided to her because by the contract calculations even back in November she still should have owed more than $1200.00.
Thank you,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They are now telling me I owe 2500. I just spoke to them over the phone and this is so false. I put 2,000 towArds the pay off and they told me that it would go towards the down payment. So the most I could possibly owe is 1200. What I do not understands is they have given me 3 different pay off amounts in the last week. They told me in November that if I pay 2,000 dollars that it would take it off the principle balance. So I only owe 1200. I am willing to pay 1200.00 by the deadline they choose. They have continued to give me the wrong amont and even my case worker Charlotte admitted that her calculations in November could have been incorrect. That is not my problem. I saved up the amount they told me to pay, and now they are saying I owe double that. I am a very reliable customer and was never late on a payment. I was early every time and just want to own my shed. They keep changing the amount and I will not stand for it. By no means should the pay off be more then it was in November 2014. It is now June 2015. And they are claiming I owe double.

We sent the front page of our contract along with the last letter to explain how we calculate an early payoff. There will always be an expiration date with any early payoff that was calculated. If the customer does not pay by the expiration date then they will continue to be billed monthly until all payments are made. When Ms. [redacted] was given a payoff back in October 2014 it was only good until 11/17/14. Ms. [redacted] made a payment on 1 1/30/14 of $1000.00 and another payment of $1000.00 on 12/30/14. Both were past the expiration date on the payoff calculated in October. Ms. [redacted] did not pay the building off, therefore, she still continued to receive monthly invoices and because she didnt continue to make her monthly payment the monthly payment was pulled from the $2000.00 she had paid. The current calculation of $1907.90 is the current payoff which does expire today 6/17/15 and after that it will change again because another month will be billed tomorrow. This is clearly in her contract that she has signed and had she wished to pay it off back in November she should have paid the full $3279.20 given to her at that time by that expiration date.

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2015/06/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Your company told me that if paid the 2,000 that would go to the principal balance, not be taken as payments. Then I called after I noticed your company did not put my 2,000 towards the principal balance and you then told me it was too late even though I specified that I wanted to put the 2,000 towards the principal... So yes I never paid it off because I was not giving them anymore money since every time I call for a pay off it is higher. It should never be higher as long as I am still making payments and have made a payment of 2,000. They are now saying I owe 1907.... However it is already passed June 16,2015. So you watch, the next pay off they give me will be higher then 1907 even though I still need to make a payment of $256.57 this month. I am beyond fed up, and I was to settle up so I can stop dealing with this business. I love the shed and have been paying all my payments on time. I am not being unreasonable, and am only frustrated with always paying and getting screwed over by them promising that he 2,000 was going to the principal not the interest and rental fees. If I had known that I would have never given them the 2,000 back like they told me........ Because if they give me by 2,000 back I will be more then happy to pay 3127.00 like they had said. Not an extra 1900 on top of my 2000 I paid. This is crazy. And I will not give them a penny until we figure this out. I cannot afford to have money be flushed awAy. I am happy to come to an agreement on the correct payment amount. 1907 is not the correct amount because my principal balance should be way less since I paid 2,000 and made it clear that I was not using that as a credit on my account.

To Whom It May Concern:
Unfortunately, we only provide the rent to own agreement with the customer for her garage. We do not build them nor do we install or repair. Any...

warranty is maintained by the manufacturer.
With that being said, we have contacted A Plus carports several times on behalf of Mrs. [redacted] and they explained to us that Chelsa from A Plus spoke with Mrs. [redacted] on January 4, 2016 and explained that they needed pictures of what needed fixed so they can bring the proper materials to the job site. Per A Plus, Mrs. [redacted] has not provided pictures at this time.

To Whom It May Concern:
I reference to [redacted]'s complaint. The customer has been very difficult to work with. Enclosed you will find a copy of the customer's history, which we...

have mailed to the customer and a copy of a monthly statement.
Would first like to address that as you can see on our monthly statements there are notes that show last payment made, which is subtracted from the balance to give the new amount owed. Our statements do not show previous balance or a line item for the payment received. This is how our program creates our statements, but the history will show all invoices and payments.
Second, after speaking with customer she expressed that she had bank statements to prove that she sent payments that we do not have posted to her account. We asked if she could send us proof and then we could see if payments were incorrectly entered. She refused, stating that was her personal information, so therefore we have no reference of payments that she claims were sent that we do not show receiving.
We have a signed rent to own agreement with Ms. [redacted]. Our agreement states that this is a month to month contract and without payment they forfeit the right to continue the agreement and we can pick up our building. We made an attempt, do to none payment and customer refused to let our pickup driver on her property. This matter has been sent to small claims court.
Sincerely,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/02/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Please open attached billing statement's that are not reflecting my payments in the amount paid column. If the amounts paid ste never added in excel spreadsheet then customers will Always be behind. In addition, in their response they say the case is a small claims matter and closed my account for reporting them to the Revdex.com, I tried to make my December 24 payment on December 22,2015, online and received a message saying opps something went wrong with making your payment.
I do not agree, with their responses.
I plan to open a Federal Class Action lawsuit against this company for deceptive lending & marketing practices, Fair Debt Act, and harassment. FTC rules as well.
In addition , to my personal lawsuit. This need's to stop.
The repo guy did not come repo because I explained my situation and texted him my screenshots for online payments. The repo guy said they told me you only paid them $20 and he never contacted me again.
Ask for each and every statement from the company please.
I appreciate your help.

In response to Ms. [redacted] saying that she wants to see our account records. Again, we are sending our "Bill Customer Activity" showing the invoices and amounts and her payments that are "highlighted" in yellow and also in parenthesis.
Also included again is her updated "Statement Of Account" and for the first time, a copy of the first page of her contract with us, showing a monthly payment amount of $171.45.
And we still have not seen her proof that she paid other payments that we do not have posted.
Lastly, Ms. [redacted]'s account is still open, as we do not close customer's accounts unless they are paid in full or repossessed.
Sincerely,
Nancy W[redacted]

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/02/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Even in their first answer they said the case was going to civil court. Also, there is unknown fee's for $50 recurring and $20 which have nothing to do with my agreement. Even the seller of the shed said what are these fee's we never signed for these fee's in the contract. Fraud is continuing and leaves this case open for Federal District Court of Guilford County. I was blocked from making online payments when they closed my account. Attached is the screenshot where I tried to pay before my due date December 24,2015.
