EZVIZ sales practices scam you into not being able to update or verify information so you can use or exchange your products.
I forgot my password and called the company. First I was told "***" reached out to HQ and the product would be unbinded from the serial numbers I produced. After waiting the 48 hours it didn't work, and I was told I couldn't update my contact information since I no longer had that cell phone and would ultimately need the receipt from over a year ago to send to HQ. I send the receipt and the serial numbers and they reply back saying they no longer unbind products to try to get the cell phone to put my old cell phone back in service to reset the password!!! At this point I want my money back for the products!! This is a scam with a call service in India with staff who give fake names.
1. I don't have an old cellphone to reset my password so they safe for proof they need my year old receipt. They also say that they don't update the EZVIZ product information.
2. You get the proof of purchase with the original box and all the serial numbers then they say they don't unbind the product or reset password without the old cellphone numbers!!!

This is a scam! How is anyone supposed to utilize the products they paid $130.00 for? Then when you ask for help to use it they say there is nothing that can be done, but the product must be registered to use it! This is outrageous, and I would like an address to send the products for a full refund and to warn buyers of the headaches you will run into with this oversees call center that takes you message when you call the support line!! Red flag right there!

I am seeking a refund since I have tried to resolve the issue at great lengths, but EZVIZ business tactics are misleading and not solution oriented! I have purchased a product I am unable to use, and they have not been used and should be allowed to return since EZVIZ is unwilling to properly service the products or allow the customer the proper instructions.

EZVIZ 2 pack battery powered wire free security camera. Batteries do not last!
I purchased EZVIZ 2 pack battery powered wire free security cameras November 23, 2018. Cameras have never functioned properly. Cameras were purchased as a Christmas gift and not set up until after the new year. Only set up one camera and from the very beginning had nothing but problems, finally March 1, 2019 reached out to EZVIZ. The camera was placed outside and the battery life was extremely short lived. I placed the setting on the camera to save battery mode power stretch. And I replaced the batteries with brand new batteries multiple times; the batteries would go dead within 2 days. The area the camera is located barley had motion to be triggering the camera. I will be attaching all emails with EZVIZ starting in March and continuiong on and off through current month. At one point EZVIZ sent a replacement camera and the exact same battery life problems continued. I spent a lot of money on this security camera kit $179.99 and it is of no use to me as it doesn't function properly. The camera has been taken down and sitting on the kitchen counter. I again reached out to EZviz letting them know I wanted to send the defective kit back and get a refund, they once again started the same song and dance to try this and try that......all the same steps done MONTHS prior only to still have the same issues. Finally on October 17, 2019 I emailed EZVIZ again telling them I was done and was requesting a RMA to return defective kit. As of today October 23, 2019 they have never responded.

Desired Outcome

Want a RMA so the kit can be returned and a full refund issued.

EZVIZ violated terms of service with annual subscription
EZVIZ claims they do not issue refunds after a subscription has been billed. My annual subscription renewed 6/14/19 for $59.99.

I had been attempting to cancel this for 2 weeks prior, but was not able to do so due to issues with their app. Over email, they claim they do not issue refunds after the billing date.

This is at odds with this portion of their TOS:

"If you have signed up for a Paid Subscription that automatically renews on an annual basis, EZVIZ will notify you of the pending renewal no later than 30 days prior to the end of the initial 12-month term (and each subsequent 12-month term). If you have signed up for a Paid Subscription that automatically renews on a monthly basis, we will not notify you of any pending renewals unless there is a change to the price of the Paid Subscription."

EZVIZ provided no notice of the renewal at all. This should nullify the agreement and I am requesting a full $59.99 refund immediately.

On 12/30/18, *** offered to replace my faulty EZVIZ system which is still under warranty. They never came through.
EZVIZ Mini Plus > Model # CS-CV200, Serial # XXXXXXXXX, purchase date > 5/5/2018, order # XXXXXXXXXXXXX, payment amount = 61.83, payment method is visa.

I purchased this item through a department store (Best Buy) and had to get help with installing. They (EZVIZ Security) were helpful until the product quit working (12/15/18) 6 months within the manufacturer's one year warranty) and the problem was really with my wireless service. Each time it went offline, the difficulty bringing it back online was painful. This last time, *** sent me instructions (12/31/18) but when I followed back up *** (01/07/19) claimed they never receive my emails (which includes name, address, proof of purchase, and photo with serial number) to move forward with the warranty replacement. It seems they don't allow you to return your product and proof of purchase if they never receive your emails. I offered to ship back all the contents (including the original box) to eliminate the email barriers but to no avail. If they can't receive your emails that show proof of purchase and the serial number your doomed. I even tried sending the information using both emails but still got the same old runaround. EZVIZ tech support / customer service was no service when they discovered the product became faulty. My problem is clearly with EZVIZ not Best Buy.

For all it's worth, I would have invested in a Swann, Night owl or an Arlo system

EZVIZ needs to refund my money.

I was promised I'd be able to expand my existing EZVIZ system with additional cams but EZVIZ will not offer any compatable cameras.
When purchasing my camera system I was told I'd be able to expand my 6 camera system into 8 cameras by purchasing additional cameras and expanding into the 8 port NVR.

EZVIZ restricts my ability to by any other IP POE cameras and will only allow specific EZVIZ cameras to function with my NVR.

EZVIZ will not offer any compatible cameras or allow me to use any other cameras on the NVR and camera system I purchased.

Repeat calls to customer service have led to no solution. I've been promised a call back by a manager who's never called back. I've also received misinformation from representatives saying that these cameras are available for sale through many outlets but they are not.

This security system was a considerable investment. I purchased this under the impression that cameras could be added later to fit my home security needs. It seems deceitful to promise a consumer options to expand their security system but then shortly after limit it's use by requiring proprietary cameras and then provide no options to obtain those proprietary cameras.

Now my only options it would seem are to keep my security system as is and not add the additional cameras that I need, or throw out my entire security system (bought only 18 months ago for several hundred dollars) and purchase an entirely new system.

For EZVIZ to resolve this I expect either:
A) Allow me to use non EZVIZ IP POE cameras like so many other security systems allow.
*OR*
B) Provide me the option to purchase 2 EZVIZ IP POE cameras that will work with my security system.

Worst customer service ever. So apparently if you create/register an account and select the wrong country: 1.) Friends cannot add you due to different countries. If you try to delete your account, it will say it is deleted BUT you can never use the same email. Therefore you have to create a new account with a new email. Apparently this software glitch will never be fixed. I have called and emailed customer support and spent hours trying to get this resolved. Every time it is a different answer. From just wait 15mins, 30mins, 1 hour, 2-3 hours and longer for server to refresh. At the end, they say you can NEVER use the email again. I spoke to *** several times and every time it is a different answer. I have been told supervisor by the name of *** will call me and its been days with no return call. This company is shady and the parent company is in China. When this concerns security issues with account information, web cameras, online cloud service and basically customer service that blatantly lies then I am very concerned.
