F & C Lube Reviews (2)
I brought my truck in for an oil change and a month later my engine locked due to not having any oil. I am demanding that Jiffy Lube replace my engine
On 12/28/2012, I brought my 2001 Ford Expedition into Jiffylube for a full service oil change. I drove the vehicle a few times since that date and noticed the engine making a funny noise. I asked my boyfriend to take it to a neighborhood mechanic and on the way there the car died. The mechanic told us the engine was knocking because there was no oil in the truck. I immediatly contacted Jiffylube and spoke the [redacted] and he asked that I have the vehicle towed to a nearby shop. We had it towed the same day, February 1st, to Peanut's towing and Auto services. After looking at the vehicle, the mechanic told us that there was in fact no oil in the truck, he saw only old oil built up around the oil plug and that the oil plug was not tightened on. He said that the engine needed to be replaced. I asked Jiffylube to contact the mechanic so that they could hear what was said to us. Jiffylube did not contact me after speaking with the mechanic, so I called them and spoke with the [redacted] who quickly told me that based on what the mechanic told him, Jiffylube was free of any liability. I quickly called the mechanic and he informed me that he told them exactly what he told us and that [redacted] was very rude and condisending while asking questions about the vehicle. The next day I called Jiffylube again and [redacted], the [redacted], told me to hold on and he put his asst. mgr on the phone to deal with the matter. This angered me and I quickly asked [redacted] to put his manager back on the phone. I told [redacted] that I did not want to speak with [redacted] anymore because he has lied to me and I would think a matter this serious should be left to the store manager. He told me that there is nothing they can do for me and I then asked him for his district manger's phone number. I called the number, left a message, no response. I then called corporate and gave them a detailed description of what happened and the rep told me the franchise owner should get back to me within 4 to 7 business days, nothing. I called after a week and that rep told me that I had a case number and that the owner was notified and should be getting back to me, nothing. I then sent them an email on there website demanding that someone contact me or else I would be seeking legal council and still nothing. I am seeking your help because Jiffylube is choosing to not communicate with me on this issue at all and I dont know what else to do. I have no vehicle in the mean time and this issue has caused me a tremendous amount of stress. The invoice number for the oil change is [redacted] and the transaction number is [redacted].
