First, the Revdex.com forms ask if we are active duty or retired military or family members. However, it does not specify veteran. There are a lot of veterans who served but didn't retire from the military. It would be nice if we were included on the form.
I am also not sure that this address is the actual location of our supposed contract, but it is the same company. Here is my complaint.
I am not sure yet how it does in an actual emergency, but my issue has to do with the way we became customers of F. E. Moran.
We signed a contract with *** when we moved here.Without our knowledge, and obviously without our consent, our contract was sold to F. E. Moran. I am not sure of the legality of this practice, but we have been trying ever since to get out of the contract with no monetary or other penalty. In our minds, we have a contract with *** which apparently is no longer in business, but never signed one with F. E. Moran. We can buy out by paying 80% of all of the remaining monthly payments left on this "contract," but we cannot close with them free and clear even though, as I said, we never signed with F. E. Moran specifically, and we don't believe that we should have a contract with them.
I don't want to speak specifically about their service in other areas. I am not sure yet how it does in an actual emergency, but my issue has to do with the way we became customers of F. E. Moran. It may be a very reputable, diligent company. I just don't think it should be legal for customers to be forced to use companies without their consents.
Dear Mrs.:
Thank you for your concern and willingness to bring forth matters that we can rectify both for you personally and our business as a whole.
As previously stated, we very much want to work with you as a customer and retain your business. We discussed on the telephone last week that FE Moran Security acquired *** Alarm in August of 2016. We worked diligently at that time to ensure all of the customers were informed of this change. We sent out two physical letters and sent correspondence via email. One of the letters was sent personally from Brett B, our CEO. His letter informed all former *** customers of the recent acquisition, provided numbers to call in case of an emergency, and provided contact information to direct general questions regarding the change.
The contract that you signed with *** does state that it can be assigned to another company and after assignment it still remains a valid contract even though it was originally signed with *** Alarm. Even though the contract also specifically says you do not have to be notified of the change, we made multiple attempts to make sure all of the former *** customers were notified as I describe above. We did this because it is our goal to provide you with kind of the old-fashioned service that not only you but all of our customers deserve. I personally have been corresponding with you over the last week to address any issues you may have. Further, in the interest of good will and to provide the aforementioned service we offered you a much lower monthly monitoring rate. We’ve done this so that you’ll give us a chance to prove our value to you as your security provider. I’ve also provided answers and solutions to all of your questions and concerns that I’m aware of, and stand ready to provide further support if you need it.
During our last phone call you made the remark that you may decide to be with us for years to come. We sincerely hope we can both move forward and continue to grow our business relationship. If you have any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.

My first and only contact with the company was on Oct. 24th, 2018. I informed Stormy that I wanted to cancel my account as of the end of October. She informed me that I would need to speak with Todd before it could be cancelled. I explained that I would be out the rest of the day so then she was able to get Todd on the phone. He explained that I would need to fill out a form to cancel. I was never asked about my service from their company so I never mentioned a couple of months ago that my alarm went off unexpectedly when we were home. It hadn't been set. It continued to sound because I couldn't remember the code to shut it off. My wife came in and shut it off. Moran never called to see if anything was wrong. Moran has never given us anything to identify our house as being protected by their company. I'm not convinced Moran has ever done anything but they want me to work. The only thing I know for sure is they were cashing our checks. I wanted this to be a clean break but when Todd hung up on me I knew we were done. The only thing I expect out of this is to be shut off by Oct. 31st, 2018.
Thank you
I had a Monday appointment. They Didn’t Show. Came the following day. The tech was Very Nice, But Very New.They were going to install Cameras but didn’t know what cables they needed, Couldn’t get inside camera to work. I’m Very Upset With Them.Dont waste your time with FE Moran
I called FE Moran after a bad experience with another home security company. They are nothing but great. Great customer service. Always friendly and helpful. The person who came and installed our system was great. He got the job done in a timely manner. Explained everything.
