Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This man is out right lying For one thing I picked out a [redacted] paint color because we were promised [redacted] paint!! I was never difficult and stayed out of their way the whole time On what was supposed to be his last day I did pay him but he wasn't done with the job He hadn't painted the front door and they didn't go back and check their work and fix all the places that didn't get but one coat of paint and that didn't get painted! He was supposed to come back and do those things I have over pictures of the messy paint job and of places that were never even painted but were supposed to be Also places that had paint on them that weren't supposed to! There was never any paint on my floors till he painted I bought my house brand new and it had never been painted until thisWe tried for a week to get ahold of him after he left and he wouldn't return the phone callsSo we did start to fix the mess but decided it was just too much for us to have to do and that he should come back and do it We paid him a large sum to paint one room and two hallways which was $1,700! For that amount I expected a perfect job Our house is still sitting here torn up since June because he refuses to show up when he says he will We have set four different times for him to come out and fix the paint job but he never shows up! It has been months now and still nothing has been done to fix it I want the entire amount back so I can hire someone else to come in and repaint in [redacted] paint and to fix his mess! My husband asked him why and told him that all we wanted was to show him what was not painted right and what we wanted fixed! I also chose a gray color not a white paint I never had any white paint on those walls before! When someone does a lousy job painting of course you are going to be mad and want it fixed! Her neighbor gave her my nameShe is a very difficult to deal withThere is nothing wrong with that jobWhen I was there painting, I put two coats on everythingI gave them a very reasonable bid and because it was a neighbor and a referralShe gave me a low grade paint name and I choose a high
quality paint to do the workThe color matched up perfectBefore I leave any job I do, I have the consumer walk by and point out any issuesShe pointed out some issues and I fixed them immediatelyShe paid me and thanked meI told her if she had any issues or found anything that needed touch up to call meShe said she probably wouldn’t have to because everything looked greatShe called me a month later and said she had touched up spots herself, I asked her why and told her I would have come out to do thatI masked out the entire flooring and wiped up any little spots of paint, so there were none when I leftThe paint she complained out was a Crème off white color on the floor, our color was pearl whiteShe complained about it before I started working so it was from the previous painting jobShe might have gotten some on the floor when she touched up the paint herself alsoAs far as the front door, I painted the inside of it, but hadn’t picked out a color for the outside part last I heardI will send them a check for $just to settle this
