In regards to complaint #[redacted]:Ms, [redacted] lived at our apartment community, Carmel Apartments, from 8/1/13 until she broke her lease early on 3/15/14. Upon move out, Ms, [redacted] owed $659.89.The following is a timeline in response to Ms. [redacted]'s complaint against our company:2/13/14 Ms. [redacted]...

submitted notice to vacate for unit #[redacted] at Cannel Apartments, acknowledging that her lease was not being fulfilled and that her notice to vacate was not approved. Ms. [redacted] did not provide a forwarding address in the area on the form that states she must provide this information. Please refer to the Resident's Notice of Intent to Move out, signed by Ms. [redacted].3/15/14 Ms, [redacted] vacated unit #[redacted] at Carmel Apartments, owing a balance of $659.89.4/7/14 A Statement of Security Deposit Accounts was mailed via USPS to the last known address of Ms. [redacted] with a please forward request. The Statement of Security Deposit letter was not returned as undeliverable by the USPS. Please see included Statement of Security Deposit that is attached for details.8/8/15 A second attempt for collection was mailed via USPS to the last known address of Ms. [redacted]. The letter stated that Ms. [redacted] had ten (10) days to contact us regarding the balance due. If no attempt to contact us was made, she would be reported to our collection agency and their collection fees would be added. Please see included second attempt letter that is attached for details.8/24/15 The second attempt for collection letter was returned via USPS as undeliverable. See copy of returned letter.8/31/15 Ms. [redacted]'s account was turned into Tenant Tracker Collections. Tenant Tracker added their collection fees to the original amount owed of $659.89.1/7/16 Ms. [redacted] contacted our office. Ms. [redacted] was very upset stating she paid her debt. There is no record of payment. She was very argumentative and quite upset. She was given the contact information to Tenant Tracker as the account has to be handled through them. Ms. [redacted] then called back still very upset stating that she had contacted Tenant Tracker and had been told that she was not a client. We contacted ourrepresentative for Tenant Tracker via email and were told that no contact had been made to Tenant Tracker from Ms. [redacted]. Please see copy of email correspondence between our company and Tenant Tracker.Since 1/7/16, no further correspondence was received from Ms. [redacted] regarding hercollection account until we received notice from the B.B.B. of Ms. [redacted]'s complaint.As stated, there is no record of payment being received from Ms. [redacted] on her accounting ledger. Ms. [redacted] needs to provide her receipt from her money order or a cancelled check that she claims she remitted. At that time, we will be able to have the collection agency remove the reported amount from her credit record, but until she submits proof of the payment the information will remain.
