January 5, Dear [redacted] ***: I am in receipt of your letters dated December 22, and January 2, I was on vacation during the holidays and I am now in receipt of the letters.Just to give you history on our client and the status of this issueWe filed the federal and DC taxes and they were both electronically filed and accepted by both entities on April 14, We are in receipt of their acceptance by both IRS and DC and can provide the documentation if neededIRS promptly deposited the refund into our client’s bank accountI am not sure of the following timing of events since I did not maintain a log of the calls because it did not seem like a major issue at the time.Probably, in July I received a call from our client indicating that she had not received her DC returnWe subsequently checked with DC and it was noted that it was received but was being reviewed and after review the refund should be forth coming. The issue on the receipt of her proposed refund rest with the District of Columbia and not with our office since the tax return was received and accepted by the DistrictWe are available to reach out to the District again or even go to the Department and Finance office with her to bring this matter to closure and ensure the refund is received. We have not received a letter from our client concerning the status of this matter nor any reference or possible litigation in the last ninety daysHowever it is our goal always to ensure that our clients are satisfied and pleased with services that we provideWe have been in business years and this is the first and I hope our last inquiry concerning services and unhappy clients. We did file the returns as required and the issue is with the District and not ours but we will work to resolve this issuePlease feel free to contact us to discuss this further.Sincerely,Terry T

Actually, I need another choice, "pending."  This matter is being worked on and I have received responses from the DC Tax Office, Mr. T[redacted] and the Attorney General.  I  wish for it not to be considered resolved until I receive my refund or response from the DC Tax Office or Mr. T[redacted].  In the call received from the Tax Office (Mr. J[redacted]), he stated that additional documents are  needed to be submitted to substantiate figures indicated on my return.   I believe that Mr. T[redacted] is making an effort to make the correction, and in his most recent conversation with me, he is making the amendment and  will submit on Thursday or Friday (1/16).  It has taken these very drastic methods to obtain a response, which I should not have needed to do.  Note:  In my original complaint, the name should have been Terry T[redacted].

Dear [redacted]:
I am in receipt of your letters dated December 22, 2014 and January 2, 2015. I was on vacation during the holidays and I am now in receipt of the letters.Just to give you history on our client and the status of this issue. We filed the federal and...

DC taxes and they were both electronically filed and accepted by both entities on April 14, 2014. We are in receipt of their acceptance by both IRS and DC and can provide the documentation if needed. IRS promptly deposited the refund into our client’s bank account. I am not sure of the following timing of events since I did not maintain a log of the calls because it did not seem like a major issue at the time.Probably, in July I received a call from our client indicating that she had not received her DC return. We subsequently checked with DC and it was noted that it was received but was being reviewed and after review the refund should be forth coming. The issue on the receipt of her proposed refund rest with the District of Columbia and not with our office since the tax return was received and accepted by the District. We are available to reach out to the District again or even go to the Department and Finance office with her to bring this matter to closure and ensure the refund is received. We have not received a letter from our client concerning the status of this matter nor any reference or possible litigation in the last ninety days. However it is our goal always to ensure that our clients are satisfied and pleased with services that we provide. We have been in business 34 years and this is the first and I hope our last inquiry concerning services and unhappy clients. We did file the returns as required and the issue is with the District and not ours but we will work to resolve this issue. Please feel free to contact us to discuss this further.Sincerely,Terry T.
