The Faber Classica hood you mentioned having yellow liquid coming out of the hood. I can assure you that this is not a manufacturing defect. There is nothing inside the Faber hood that would produce or expel grease / yellow liquid. It is most likely the process of a wet grease filter after washing...

was placed back inside the hood. Once that grease filter with water inside was put in the hood, the grease pulled into the hood mixes with the water and then later on drips back out of the hood and onto the stove. The motor used inside the hood is a closed system with no external lubricants, so no way for liquid to come from the product without introducing outside liquids. The only other possibility is previous grease buildup inside the ducting if the hood replaced another model using the same older duct work.  For future reference, you can clean the grease filters in the dishwasher and then let fully air dry before re-inserting. The inside of the product can be wiped down occasionally with soap and water. From a service stand point, there is not anything that a service person could do to repair this issue.
