I am sorry that Revdex.com got pulled into this situation about a concrete driveway that was never under any warranty by FABMAC Homes. FABMAC Homes builds houses, and we have a 10-year warranty on the major components of our homes, with a 1-year limited warranty on any items that need repair during the...

first year. We have never implied that this warranty covers other items such as irrigation systems, garages, driveways and the like. We sold the property at [redacted] in 2015, with the final walk-through on May 26, 2015. We closed escrow on June 15, 2015. We cannot be responsible for cement cracks once escrow has closed. The ONLY warranty that we stand behind is for the building itself (house and cottage). In the home inspection that was performed before closing in June of 2015, there was no mention of any cracks in the driveway. In February of 2016, Mr. [redacted] called our offices, asking that some repairs be made to the house. When our supervisor arrived at the house, Mr. [redacted] was not in residence, and the person who was at the house knew nothing about the appointment, and so it was rescheduled for March 1, 2016. At that time his brother-in-law gave our supervisor a list of complaints from Mr. [redacted], which included the driveway cracks. This was the first time the driveway cracks were mentioned. The other repairs to the house were made in a timely manner by March 3, 2016.In May, our construction supervisor met at the property with Mr. [redacted] and the subcontractor who poured the driveway. The subcontractor stated that the cracks were “normal wear and tear”, since the driveway had been poured almost a year previously. Mr. [redacted] insisted that a new driveway be poured at FABMAC’s expense. When he became abusive and threatening, he was asked to have his attorney contact FABMAC Homes to resolve this issue. The next time we heard from Mr. [redacted] was when we received this letter from the Revdex.com.FABMAC Homes provides our buyers with a Homeowners Binder which explains the warranties for appliances, major components of the house, etc. The driveway, irrigation systems and garage at the [redacted] property are NOT included in the FABMAC warranty, and FABMAC at no time ever implied that they were. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
