Job was done 11/2015. Customer happy with all aspects of work and paid the bill in full with no reservations. I never heard from them again until I got an e-mail about scratches and hazy floors e-mail dated May 19th 2016. I did meet with Mr. [redacted] after that and explained that we could buff the...

floors and apply another coat of polyurethane, which would be the 4th coat on the floor. I gave him the price of 800-900 dollars based on labor and material. He stated that they had a busy summer and a lot of activities so it might have to wait until later in the year. I shook his hand and he was to contact me when they were ready to do it and I left.I never heard from either Mr. or Mrs. [redacted] again until I received an email in September of this year,2017 regarding the fact that they bought a smaller (counter depth) refrigerator and that area needed to be redone, and that they were dissatisfied and wanted me to come out and "rectify the situation". Since that email she has sent several others belittling the "workmanship" and claiming several other things about the floors that, if true would have to have been apparent on the day in 2015 that we finished the work, and if so awful certainly should have been brought to my attention back then, but were not. Some emails were insulting to me on a personal level, but I did not respond in kind. I explained that the workmanship and products were all excellent, but agreed to try to set up a meeting between the contractor that did the work and her . I did do that and did send her his email and cell number. I found out she never did leave him a voice mail, and that meeting is now set up for Monday October 16th. Mrs. [redacted] has contradicted herself on some details throughout this process regarding the refrigerator , so the meeting will determine that part of it.As far as paperwork is concerned, I did in fact send her the copy she requested the morning of the day she sent in this complaint. Again I had explained to her several times that the paperwork she says she had was in fact the original and the only difference was the new contract price of $6200.00 , not the original of $6500.00, a fact she left out of her complaint. The price we agreed to originally was the price she requested I do the work for and I agreed to that.As far as the floor condition is concerned, This house is on a golf course and the back of the house, adjacent to the new and existing hardwood is subjected to constant sunlight(ultraviolet, U.V. rays) all year long, there are no drapes curtains, or window tinting of any kind. The existing floors did have U.V. damage by the patio doors , and it was discussed at the time of the job. The existing floors were also hazy from improper cleaning agents over the 13 years they had them. Use and U.V.damage cannot be confused with poor workmanship. This response will be updated after the meeting of Monday October 16th 2017, when Mrs. [redacted] is scheduled to meet with contractor that performed the work on her house. Together we had done in excess of200 floors in this area , now as of this writing it is over 300, and an A+ Revdex.com rating. This reply will be updated after October 16th meeting.
