I boarded my dog at puppy palace in JuneShe came home with an eye infection and I had to get antibiotics from the vetThen I boarded her there again in DecemberShe came home with a cut on her footI had to take her to the vet todayThey shaved her footThey gave her a shotShe has a cone around her headAnd is on anabiotic's againI have asked puppy palace what happened and they have been extremely uncaring about itThey told me they would not reimburse me for any of my vet billsThey said that these things happen and I would have to deal with itI have learned my lessonI will never take my dog to puppy palace ever againThey do not take care of the dogsAnd it is a dirty place!
MY DOG, whose name is Pepper! Got a wound on her left paw because she was trying to scratch out of her kennelThat is what STPP told meI don't know why she was trying to get outPepper is a calm dog and is not prone to anxiety so something was happening that she felt like she needed to get out of her kennelSTPP says they put some ointment on her wound but she kept licking it and that is how it got infectedSO HERE IS SOME LOGIC FOR YOUI hope you can understandWhen my year old son goes to school and gets a cut his teacher puts a band aid on itYou cannot put ointment on a two year olds cut and tell them to not touch it and expect them to listenSTPP cannot put ointment on Peppers paw and tell her not to lick it and expect her to listenSTPP should have put a cone on her head or wrapped her pawI paid over $to have her boarded there so I would have expected them to take better care of PepperShe's a dogShe does not understand she cannot lick her cutSo now instead of Pepper having her paw wrapped for a few days until the wound heals she has to wear a cone on her head for weeks while she takes antibioticsSO DON'T LECTURE ME about any forms I signedSTPP was negligent in caring for my dog! That is the bottom linePepper and I go hiking most every weekend and spend a lot of time outside playingHer quality of life has been affected as she cannot do the things she enjoys doing because she has a cone on her headShe cannot eat or drink when the cone is onShe has a hard time walking up the stairs with the cone onThe vet instructed me to LEAVE THE CONE ON AT ALL TIMESI am letting as many people I can know exactly what happened so they can form there own opinions about weather or not to use STPPI WILL NOT BE BRINGING MY DOG BACK TO STPP! Those are the facts
And when I picked Pepper up NOTHING WAS SAID TO MEI noticed the wound on her paw as we were driving homeI immediately called and asked what happened and STPP did not knowThey told me to email them and that is what I did along with a picture of Peppers pawThat was Saturday Jan I finally received a response back on Monday Jan and that is when I found out that Pepper had been scratching to get out of the cageApparently a note was sent to the front desk to let me know but the note got lostREALLY STPP?!?!?!?!? The note got lost?!?!?!?! That's like saying the dog ate my homeworkThe fact that STPP is standing on a defense that I signed a form is extremely unsettlingClearly STPP does not care about my dogThey care about their formsWell, I have an idea of what STPP can do with there forms........!
Terrible experience at puppy palace. We had been taking our 2 dogs there for day care for a few weeks, then went out of the country. My son took them to daycare on Sat when he went to work. I got a call at 3:55pm that they would be boarding the dogs overnight. Apprarently they close at 4pm on Sat which we did not realize. I said no, please don't, that I would have them picked up right away within 10 min, that my dogs had never been boarded, would be very frightened, and I begged him to wait. He refused and then told me that they would be closed on Sun so the dogs would be kept til Monday!! I offered to pay any fee for a pick up at any time. He said only some dogs would be released on Sun, but not mine! I was frantic, one dog has kidney failure and needs extra water, the other is an abused rescue easily frightened. My son was there in 12 minutes, yet they refused to answer the door or the phone all weekend long! My dogs came home traumatized, scared, filthy and thirsty. It was cruel.
