Received multiple alerts from credit monitoring services saying a hard credit check had been performed on my credit report. Factor Trust and another business was listed as the source of the credit check and I have never done business with either of them. I obtained a Factor Trust credit report and disputed the incorrect data online. After several weeks Factor Trust sent me a letter saying the investigation was complete and that they had determined that the hard credit check and incorrect data that was part of the fraudulent loan application was accurate and would remain on my file. A credit report was sent with this dispute denial and it showed the initial inaccurate information in my credit report plus an additional company that had also performed a hard credit inquiry and reported incorrect data that was also included as part of my credit report. At this point I was working with a credit restoration service and they prepared a written credit report data dispute which included an FTC affidavit as well as a copy of my drivers license along with the dispute of the incorrect data from the credit report and I mailed this to Factor Trust. I received another letter from Factor Trust saying they wouldn't initiate the credit dispute until I obtained a copy of my Factor Trust credit report. Not only does Factor Trust not know what they've sent me, they are also violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act by not processing the credit dispute as received.
