Factory 2-U Reviews (2)

Review: I was headed to the Ross store and saw the Factory 2-U store with discounts signs & decided to see what this store offered as I've seen this store in other cities. At one point while shopping I went up front & saw a store employee (A) & asked her what the return policy was. She told me that clearance items were final sales & bras & underwear were final sales as well. I found a bunch of bed linens & decided I would purchase several for my mother who was looking for sheets & let her pick & return the ones she didn't want. When I was checking out I double checked with the cashier (L) that I would be able to return items that weren't on clearance because I was purchasing so many bed linens for my mother who was picky & didn't want any issues. I even said I didn't want store credit, that I wanted it back onto my credit card because I knew I'd be returning several. L told me that they no longer issued store credit as they no longer used those cards & that as long as I used a credit card the store will put the credit back onto my credit card if I returned items within 30 days. I then allowed her to ring my items up. The odd thing is my stuff was bagged in plastic bags with the name Fallas on it & when she handed me my receipt it had the same Fallas name on it instead of Factory 2-U. My mother didn't like the thread count because they were 180 saying theyre too thin & she didn't want any of them. I kept the clearance items I purchased & the following day of the purchase went to the store to return my items. A said I could only do exchanges claiming she told me no returns the previous day even claiming shes worked there for a year & always tells customers that, then called the manager (M) & told her she told me already. I told both that A didn't say that & only said final on clearance & underwear. I told both of them what the cashier (L) who rang me up said & pointed at the cameras above asking to review it & they will clearly see. M said she wouldnt because she wouldnt be able to hear anything. I told her shed see me holding my credit card up confirming Id get items credited back & the cashier saying yes. She then said it was on the receipt no refunds. I told her I was handed the receipt after everything was already purchased. I asked where it was posted for me to read & she pointed to a small sign blocked by merchandise on the counter to the right. I even reminded M that I asked if there were fitting rooms for me to try stuff on the previous day & she said they had none. She said she would call L to confirm she said what I said she told me, but they only do exchanged & L didnt tell me that because shes worked there for a while. As she went to call I read the posted store policy on exchanges/returns & it clearly said Credit card purchases will be credited to the customers credit card account when customer returning the item(s) presents a valid register receipt and the ticket remains attached to the garment (I even took a picture of it). M told me Lorraine didnt answer the phone, and when I showed her the policy posted about the crediting my credit card she again refused to do so saying it was over $50. I continued to voice my disagreement with her not following the posted store policy & her excuses. She finally said shed do it this one time, & I told her that according to this posted policy she didnt need to make any exception for doing it this one time, that I would no longer do business here, as well as informing her Id be reporting this to the Revdex.com. As Adid the returns she said one of the items was a clearance item. I said that was incorrect because all clearance items were at home because I knew I couldnt return them. M said it rang up clearance & I pointed out there was no clearance sticker on the item, nothing on the receipt indicated it was clearance, & since the cashier didnt tell me it was a clearance item how was I to know I was purchasing a clearance item. After a few more back & forth exchanges of me pleading to her that I had no clue it was a clearance item, M approved A to allow the return. I told both M & A I didnt understand why they were giving me a hard time because I was not trying to get over on the store & that I was only doing what the cashier & posted policy said I could do. She replied, Well look at what youre doing, you are. I didnt argue because it would get nowhere & I was already agitated & embarrassed in from of the other customers present. L ended up calling as this transaction was going on & I heard M repeat what I said she told me & ask if she said that & then say, We will need to talk when you get in, as if L had done something wrong. In the end the items were credited back to my credit card, however due to this experience, I will not ever do business with Fallas. Im not sure why they are deceiving the public making them think its a Factory 2-U store, but I also do not plan on doing business with Factoy 2-U if they are affiliated with this company. If If I walk into a store that says Banana Republic & make a purchase, but after I see on my receipt Old Navy as the store & my items are being bagged in Old Navy bags, Id be confused as to where I actually shopped. I believe they are tricking their non-English speaking customers with their Return Policy because they post one thing, yet practice another.Desired Settlement: Company should practice the posted return policy. Customers need to know when they're purchasing (before the transaction is complete)a clearance item that doesn't have a clearance ticket on it since it becomes a final sale. The outside store sign needs to match the store name being printed on the receipt & the bags they're putting purchased items in. If I think I'm shopping at Target, I'd feel deceived if after my purchase I get handed a receipt that says Walmart on it & bags say it too.

I'am a Customer of your store for many years and I appreciate the Great Services You Have. It gets me Mad that a Manager from Your Store Overrides an item that was tag 7 dollars and is ringing up 5 dollars, this lady takes the time and overrides it back to 7dollars. I work for Walmart for over 13 years and I know that if I do that I will be fired on the Spot. This lady named Lulu should of Grand me the Prize it was ringing up. Horrible Customer Service I need consequences for this Store Manager. Any questions please call me at [redacted] thank you.
