Factory Direct Models

Just a word of warning to any potential customers...not a great company to work with. The work is good, but the customer service is non-existant and we spoke with someone who claimed to be a VP of sales - Jason.
Long story short: model ordered on Nov 4th. Custom job that was going to take time - no issue. A couple months go by and we hear nothing so send a note and ask how it's going. Response gives a timeframe for when it'll be ready. Fast forward to that time frame, we again write a note to check on status, again get a response that it's going fine but delayed and will be ready by X timeframe - rinse and repeat (x3). It's not May and we still don't have a model.
Spoke to Jason - alleged VP of Sales. I say alleged as I can't imagine any VP of anything acting the way he did. Was unapologetic and even suggested it was our fault for having unrealistic expectations - recall the expectations were set by the company, not us. When he finally apologized, it was dripping with sarcasm and ended with "well I'm sure you'll sleep just fine tonight". That's just the tip of the iceberg around the converstion with Jason. We never got angry or raised voices at him, just calm conversation wanting to make the situation right. He was not interested at all.
Issues: 1) we were told specific timeframes it would be ready but never was 2) we had to bird dog and ask about status, not once did we get a courtesy email to let us know about delays. 3) Jason, Mr VP of Sales - was sarcastic, rude and disinterested. He barely even apologized and chased it back with a nice dose of sarcasm. Unprofessional.
The work is good but be ready for a rotten customer experience. And if you get Jason, good luck to you.

The worst service I've ever received from a company, let alone a company selling an expensive premium product. They missed their own guaranteed timelines and were extremely rude. They also had terrible attention to detail and I had spend way too much time having them fix the model. I would never order another product from this company again.

I ordered a customed model via the telephone, the representative was very polite and assured how impressed I would be with the model. I was implicit in asking if the model could be done in 8 weeks, He told me it usually takes 4-6 weeks so 8 weeks was an easy guaranteee. I ordered the model, 6 weeks later I called and was told that it takes 10 -12 weeks. I attempted to cancel the order but they told me they have to charge me anyway. I have numerous emails which where very confusing since this business is primarily operated out of the Philipines. The owner spoke with me and was very apologetic but did not even offer to attempt to expedite the process or shipping, he was very arrogant and smug. In fact he told me we are the best so it will be worhth waiting for. Unfortunatley this model was a gift with a timeline, but since factory direct did not present themselves honestly the experience was not a good one. YThere are many other model companies out there I would highly suggest checking with them and compare. The story of " for pilots by pilots" is not upheld. Would not say they are an ethical or honest business.

This company falsely advertises prices online. They advertised an item price of $169.95 on Google Shopping and when the user clicks the direct link to the compnay website to buy, the prices increases to $199.95. Very deceptive and sneaky way to increase the price of an item in a way designed to deliberately mislead a customer. Company contacted not only would not honor the advertised price, but they were rude, complete with the owner calling me back to berate me for reporting his business to the FTC. I had to send a formal demand to them to stop harassing me.

Factory Direct Models is a great company that does awesome work and everyone was wonderful to work with. I ordered a Pilatus PC12 model and everything came out better than expected. Jason was beyond awesome to work with and Elmer replied quickly with answers when questions were directed his way. Everyone there is great to work with and definitely shows they care. The whole process from ordering (build sheet), gift certificate, and the photo approval process was wonderful. I will continue to talk very highly of your company and will send customers your way.

I am sorry to hear about your experience, our models typically take 8-10 weeks to complete from when we receive a customers order form. Since our models are made by scratch and by hand, it is difficult to quote a specific time frame. The quality of our models are phenomenal and if it takes a little longer to complete, I assure you it is worth the wait, although more often we often finish on time or before the 10 week estimated time frame.

Because our models are often bought as gifts, we do offer Gift Certificates to present to that special person, letting them know their custom model is being built for them.

I have never worked with a better model company. The finest product, best service and overall superb experience. I have about 50 models and their models are by far my favorite.
