As stated previously, these wheels were sold to the complainant through one our dealers All the correspondence described in this response was between our dealer and the complainant On April 18, we received pictures of the wheels from the complainant Shortly after we received a phone call from our dealer to discuss the situation In our opinion, based on the pictures, the damage to the wheels did not look like a manufacture's defect covered under warranty The pattern of the discoloration, and the lack of separation of the coating from the aluminum substrate is indicative of chemical damage, and not a manufacture's defect We conveyed our opinion to the dealer, and informed them that the complainant was welcome to send the wheels in for further evaluation We gave our opinion to our dealer based on the information that was provided to us All correspondence was between the complainant and our dealer, we were not privy to these discussions Factory Reproductions stands behind its products; if the complainant disagrees with our opinion, they are welcome to send the wheels in for further evaluation

I am rejecting this response because....We send the wheels back with the same response, I don't think so! They are not standing behind their product nor will they. Lesson Learned....BUYERS BEWARE of the company AND the dealer!!

These wheels were sold to this customer through one of our dealers. Factory Reproductions was not directly involved in the transaction. Hence we are not aware of any issue with the shipment being incorrect. When the customer contacted us about a warranty claim, we asked him to submit pictures for us...

to review. We reviewed the pictures with our dealer, and we both determined that based on the pictures, the stains on the wheels looked to be caused by chemical damage, and were not defective. The dealer relayed this information to the customer, and told the customer if he disagreed he could send the wheels back to us for further review. We have been in business for over 19 years, and have solid reputation. We stand behind our product, and take care of any and all legitimate warranty claims.

We carefully reviewed the pictures Mr. [redacted] sent us and concluded the wheels were damaged by impacting an object, pot hole or curb. The tires installed by Mr. [redacted] were performance low profile sidewall tires. The tires are also a smaller size then we would have recommended. Installing low...

profile tires increases the chances of impact damage to the wheel because the height of the sidewall is significantly shorter. It is impossible to design a wheel the will not deform or crack under any circumstance. Any wheel of the same size from another manufacturer would probably have performed in the same manner. Our wheels are manufactured to strict quality standards. They are designed and tested to meet or exceed the Society of Automotive Engineers J2530 specification. The SAE J2530 is an internationally recognized compliance standard for cast aluminum wheels. Factory Reproductions was founded in 1998 and has sold well over one million wheels. We would not be able to stay in business for almost twenty years manufacturing a sub-standard product. We have sold more than twenty thousand of the model and size wheels Mr. [redacted] purchased. To date there have been no wheels returned that were found to be defective. I offered the retailer who sold the wheels to Mr. [redacted] a significant discount for replacement wheels.
