On September 16, this same complaint sent to me via postal mail was posted on my business *** as an anonymous negative reviewI had no way of
identifying the customer or job.I responded on *** as a good faith resolution to the customers post that I would gladly work this out if the customer would respond and bring the ring inThere was no response.Information in the letter received from Revdex.com allowed me to Identify the customer and jobThis ring was presented to me for sizing on 6/30/ The ring appeared old and heavily wornAll jewelry left for repair at my shop is photographed and a inch by inch print of that photo is generatedA work order is also created which includes customer name and contact information, date, work to be done and costThe customer signs this work orderThe customer also signs the back of the photograph attesting that it represents the jewelry left at my store.I completed the contracted work within a few daysThe ring was not picked up or paid for until 7/30/at 11:A.MThe customer was in a hurry to return to her hometown some miles awayWhen presented the ring she complained that I had removed diamonds from the sides of the ringI showed her the photo of her ring that she signedI then blew up the detail and printed this picture for her inspection proving there were no diamonds in the locations she describedShe was unconvinced. During this close inspection I discovered small crack in the upper part of the ring that was previously unnoticed and unrelated to the sizing work I had doneAs she was in a hurry I told her that I could repair the crack next time she visited my townShe paid and signed the work order and photo again indicating she had taken her jewelry.I received no calls of complaint nor ever saw the ring againI had no idea she had a problem until I noticed the *** postI am a graduate jeweler and graduate gemologist with some years experienceI have a hard earned reputation for fine work and great customer serviceI don't even know how to respond to someone who would disparage my reputation publicly without so much as a phone call firstSince I have signed photographic evidence that this complaint is baseless, and monetary redress is requested, this case could possibly rise to the level of fraud, extortion, libel or slander.Sincerely,*** *** *** ***
