Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I personally have been working on all different makes and models of vehicles for over years and am a graduate of Delaware Technical Community College, majoring in Automotive TechnologyWhen I said the noise that I heard is the same noise that was present before they repaired that unnecessary component, I am very confident of my answerFurthermore, the employee's at this facility told my wife that this is not the first misdiagnosis that has happened at their place businessI very much doubt that they test drove the vehicle because loose or worn control arm bearings will not increase in pitch when your foot comes off of the acceleratorThat is my professional diagnosis
Regards,
*** ***

Response: *** ***-*** brought a vehicle into our shop complaining of a noise while driving, to be looked at and possibly repairedThe customer had made a comment that they thought the noise was coming from the wheel bearingsUpon test driving the vehicle, we did hear a noise, it
wasn't the wheel bearings and upon looking over the vehicle we found the ball joints on the front of the vehicle to be worn and looseThe ball joints were loose enough to be making the noise that they had described to usOur shop then wrote and presented an estimate to Mrs***, to which she brought back the vehicle approximately weeks later to have the ball joints replacedWe then replaced the ball joints, which included the control arms, test drove the vehicle and the noise that we heard when test driving originally was no longer thereMrs*** then picked up the vehicleThe vehicle was then brought back to us by the customer claiming we "had not corrected the noise"We then test drove the vehicle with the customer and heard a separate noise that was not original to the first noise that we had heard weeks ago and had correctedAfter hearing the noise with the customer, we suggested that the noise may be coming from the transmission and we recommended a transmission shop to confirm to assist her furtherOur shop, however, did confirm that the noise that we had heard from the ball joints originally had been corrected by our repair and diagnosis and the original noise no longer existedWe appreciate *** ***'s situation and view of the repair work, but we also know that we repaired a confirmed problem and existing noiseWe also appreciate the expense that *** *** spent towards this vehicle, but unfortunately the vehicle is getting close to years old with close to 100,milesWe were able to diagnose and repair what we all believed to be the noise in questionA noise created by worn and needed parts to vehicleThe noise in question now, that has been diagnosed coming from the transmission was not easily found with the noise coming from the ball joints, until that noise was correctedWith all these points made, our company will not be refunding any money on the work done to this vehicleSent on: 2/8/2:12:PM
