Review: • May **, 2015- met Ralph F[redacted] at my home, discussed install wrought iron fencing for my deck and given verbal estimate of “2-3 weeks” from contract to installation.

• May **, 2015 a deposit of $1000 was paid to Ralph F[redacted]-with a balance of $1200 (total=$2200)-for a design provided by the homeowner with promise of a written proposal to be provided to me.

• June *, 2015 -contacted Ralph F[redacted] for the proposal- not yet received- and for an installation date.

• June **, 2015- proposal mailed by Pat F[redacted]; contract between F[redacted] and one person (homeowner).

• June [redacted]- contacted Ralph for an installation date- now past the 3week point.

• July [redacted]- received text from Ralph stating a 2nd coat of paint was just being applied.

• July **, 2015- 6 weeks after deposit paid- permission was given for the exterior install to be done in my absence.

o On gross inspection that evening, it was obvious that touch up paint remained on several wood railing posts, holes where stair railing had been removed remained unfilled, and "rust shavings" remained on the limestone steps. Closer inspection revealed a very poor quality paint job with paintbrush bristles, large drips, and missed spots throughout (ultimately turning to rust). Additionally, several wood posts were split at the exact point of the iron rail installation.

o I communicated my dissatisfaction in a text to Ralph F[redacted] on 7/**/15

• DATE UNKNOWN- without requesting or receiving authorization, F[redacted] returned to my property while I was not home and, apparently, cleaned paint off railing posts and filled holes with cement

• August **, 2015- contacted Ralph F[redacted] via text to ask for a walk through on the job prior to final payment.

o Balance of payment would be made when the job was completed to a reasonable satisfaction.

o F[redacted] NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A WALK THROUGH ON THE JOB.

• August **, 2015- received Dispute Agreement Letter from Pat F[redacted] via email-which offered a $200 discount or threat of legal action.

o Via email, I responded to Mr. Pat F[redacted] that, given the refusal to walk through the job and the threatening letter, I had no choice but to seek estimates for repainting and post repair from other contractors.

o Communicated to Pat F[redacted] that I would share those estimates with him and adjust the $1200 balance due accordingly.

o Mr. F[redacted] did not respond.

• September *, 2015- received written estimate from outside contractor for the corrective paint job in the amount of $350.

• September **, 2015- received a voicemail on my cell from a man who identified himself as Jimmy at ###-###-####. He stated that he “worked for the county and had a summons for me”, asked about a "Michael", referred to a court date I had missed, and advised he would be coming to my job the following day.

o I returned his call on September **, 2015 only to be told that there was a "lien on my property at -----” (I do not own said property) and pending garnishment of my salary. He gave me a number to call- ###-###-####- stating I would be speaking with an attorney at that number.

o I called ###-###-#### on September **, 2015 and a “receptionist” took my name and then a man came on the line. He did not give his name or business affiliation. He asked if I knew the name F[redacted]. He repeatedly and aggressively demanded that I tell him “Michael’s” last name. He too made reference to court proceedings but could not/would not answer any of my direct questions related to these supposed legal proceedings such as notifications sent. He also sternly advised me against ending the conversation with him. I advised him that I would seek my own council and ended the call. I still do not know his name.

• September **, 2015- received several more missed calls from “Jimmy” on my cell phone. In the one voice mail left on my phone, informed that he was standing outside of my place of employment and that he was planning to speak to my employer.

I am writing to complain about poor workmanship, customer service, entry onto my property without my knowledge/permission, and improper collection practices.Desired Settlement: Billing adjustment and clarification on the propriety of 1:entry onto my property without my authorization and 2: the bill collection processes described in the complaint
