Fair Nation

Fair Nation is located in Tennessee but operated the "Alabama State Fair" in September, 2013. After the original state fair in Alabama was delayed due to 'construction issues', I noted the website http://alstatefair.com/ was selling tickets for the state fair to be held in a different location. The tickets were advertised as half off entrance fee for adults and children and half off the wristbands for rides. The pre-sale stated the reduced tickets were only good for opening weekend (Friday, September 13 through Sunday, September 15). I purchased the tickets for my family and we drove the 45 minutes to the fairgrounds in order to be there right at opening on Saturday, the second day of the fair. When we arrived at the location, we were surprised at the small area and drove past. I told my family that looked more like a small carnival. After not seeing any more fair activities, we drove back to the fair location and drove past several Alabaster, Alabama police officers who were talking next to their cruisers. We could not find a parking area or anyone to direct us. I parked near some of the worker's vehicles and walked to group of police officers. I asked if this event was the state fair and was told it was but the fair would not open for several hours. Officer [redacted] stated the box office would be open then but for now, all the rides that were open were free. I told my family and we decided to check out the rides. After walking around the small field, we realized that none of the rides were open. I immediately called the telephone number for Fair Nation but had to leave a message. We left the event area after I took pictures of the rides being constructed.Product_Or_Service: Fair ticketsDesired SettlementI paid for the tickets with a credit card and would like to be reimbursed. Emails and voice mail to the company have gone unanswered.

When they changed the dates & city of the Alabama State Fair that we paid for they would not refund our money even when they said they wouldwe have tried calling-8/14/13-8/22/13-9/10/13-11-1/13 and faxed them on 10/21/13 and sent them an email on 10/7/13 and now their answering machine says it is full and for caller to hang up.Desired Settlementwe paid $400.00 and would like the full amount refunded

The Alabama state fair advertised a fair from the 13th-22 0f this month. So I went to the website,and it had an offer half off if you order on line by thursday sept 12th. So my husband did.We pre paid a total of 52.00. we drove 48 minutes and we get there( across from the winery in calera/pelham alabama,near the shelby county airport,we go friday the 13th got there about 7:15pm.Its dark,and we see a line in front of us and behind us.1 ride,a horse, and 1 concession stand. There is a genleman name [redacted] who was speaking with everyone.Explaining the situation that there was a problem with the [redacted] of [redacted] will re-0pen tomorrow which is saturday @ noon.And the half off deal will be honored until the end of the fair. I explained to Phillip that friday was my off day and I was unable to return due to work schedule(s). He said ok, they should honor that and give you a refund. Go to the website send them an e-mail, and they will respond. How ever the website does state no refunds rain, or shine.. ok, however this situation is out of my control. and because we are unable to go back out there, due to there issue. I have requested a refund for 52.00... I have faxed them, sent 2 e-mails, and have left over 4 voice mails.And I feel like iam being avoided. I cant afford to loose 52.00.. Friday the 13th 2013 was our time with our kids;family nite until next month.No one has responded to us.
