Brand new water heater keeps shutting down and installation company is unresponsive
Fairfax Electric, Plumbing, & Gas (FEPG) installed a new gas hot water heater in my home on January 13, 2022. Soon after that the pilot light went out and would not stay lit. They finally came out and replaced a bunch of parts and it worked for a few more months before breaking down again. They left soot all over my basement. They were supposed to come out today to fix the hot water heater again, but did not show up and failed to call. No one will return my calls or emails. Brand new product has broken down twice leaving a family of five without hot water for weeks and company will not correct the issue. I think I am going to have to hire someone else and take legal action against FEPG. I see many of you have had similar issues - perhaps a class action law suit will get this company’s attention. Bringing these issues to Home Depot’s attention so they will terminate their relationship with FEPG and their customers will stop being victimized.

Review: This company replaced a water heater in my house, while removing the water heater they had to remove an additional shutoff valve for a whole house humidifier, after the installation was completed of the water heater, this company broken the other shutoff valve reinstalling it, and instead of advising me and/or replacing this valve they just left it. After realizing that the humidifier wasn't working, I called the company and they stated that they would come and replace the valve for $90.00, I asked since they broke the part, why would I have to pay for this damage and was advised by the owner that it was company policy.

It should also be noted that when they installed the water heater, we had it inspected by the county (since it was a gas water heater) and the inspector failed the inspection, due to the pressure relief valve drain line was too long (went into and was touching the drain pan under the water heater) - I ended up correcting this problem myself with the inspector there so that we could pass that day and avoid a second inspection and another day off work. This company is very questionable with their work and their knowledge needed to do this job.Desired Settlement: I want this company to come out and finish the job that I paid them to complete.
