Fairfax Racquet Club Inc Reviews (6)

We paid up front for a one-year Sentricon (termite) protection plan. At the December 2015 inspection, we were given a service slip with the next scheduled inspection date. Late in the afternoon of the scheduled day, I called to see if a technician was coming out. I was told we weren't scheduled for that day. We were on the schedule for 12 days later. Twelve days later I called late in the afternoon to see if a technician was coming. At first I was told he was at my house. I was at my house and he wasn't. They couldn't locate the technician and no supervisor was available. The appointment was rescheduled for three days later in the week. The next day about 2:00 in the afternoon, I found a note from the company INSIDE MY MAILBOX, indicating a technician had been by the previous afternoon, checked and baited all the stations, and everything was good. The technician had no business opening my mailbox. Because I have a pool my gates were locked, so he had no access to backyard property. After walking my property, it was evident that the stations outside the locked gates had not been checked. Dirt and rocks on top of them had not been disturbed. I called the company again. The receptionist apologized saying she would let someone know about this. Finally, fifteen days after my originally scheduled inspection, a technician showed up but could not get the electronic system to work. He did manually check each station and replace bait as needed. I was told someone would need to come back and electronically check and record each station. I was reassured that my house was completely covered with termite protection. But, the point is, their scheduling is sloppy and no technician should have ever opened my mailbox nor placed a signed note indicating all stations had been checked when, in fact, they had not been. That's lying.

I live In an Apt complex, so Pest control is out of my hands, after a neighbor moved out I discovered bed bugs, reported it to the management, and after time arrangements were made for Burn's to come out and inspect, They came out with a dog to check things out, and confirmed there were Bed bugs. They schedule a treatment I was given a prep sheet Identifying that they were going to Heat treat the apt, I made arrangements for my dogs to be someplace else for the next 2 days and for me to spend the night at a hotel, to allow the apartment to cool down. they did a Chemical treatment instead..... which was ineffective, when they came back for follow up inspection with a dog, bed bugs were still present. Another treatment was scheduled, Again it was a chemical treatment, and Another follow up with a dog, only this time was different the inspector showed up with the dog and started the inspection, The dog started throwing up he rushed the dog outside so it could throw up, When I asked him what was wrong I was told the dog got into some chemicals somewhere, I asked if it was normal for to keep a dog working when it was obviously sick, he got mad and stormed out with out completing the inspection...
Things I have learned about Burns
Treatment may not be as described
They refuse to schedule a solid time for an Appt.
Don't ask about the dogs well being.

After calling several pest elimination companies I found Burns Pest Elimination to be the company I wanted to go with. They seemed to answer all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with their services and quotes. I then gave my husband the number to the company to have him set up a day for Burns to come out when our dogs were going to be at the groomers.
Burns came out and finished their first treatment and I was given a statement. I then noticed the amount on the paper was not the same amount I was quoted. I called my husband. He said they quoted him $211.00, when I was quoted $165.00. How can you give two different customers two different prices? My husband called Burns and he was transferred to the agent that could help him, there was no answer so he left a message. Days later and no phone call back, I made a call and was told there was only one agent assigned to our case and only he could help us. So again I was sent to his voicemail. A week later I was on my out the door and a Burns technician was at the door. I didn't understand because we hadn't set up an appointment and still no one had returned our calls. The technician called my husband and told him that he would have to speak with someone at the office in regards to pricing, but he could set up our next appointment. The appointment was set for 12/24/15 between 8-12. We waited at our home between that time and then left our house to our neighbors. When walking back home it was then 2:15pm and the burns truck was outside of our home. We walked inside and he never came to our door. We then received an email stating there was a treatment done on this day. There was no way he could have treated our backyard when we have 2 unfriendly German Shepherds in our yard. We started calling the company with no response back. And again they came out in January to spray our yard and again no one returns our phone call. This is beyond frustrating. We will not do business with this company again. We figured the only way to get someone on the phone is not to pay the bill. Matybe, just maybe then we can get someone to call us back.

We are sorry to hear that they are unhappy with the services we provided. We have refunded the $256 to the credit card that they used to pay the bill. The receipt is copied below.

Don't deal with a female named Kristen through there company she will never answer her phone and when you leave a voicemail she doesn't call you back. I called to set up a spraying for our new house and she set me up with a 3 month spray which came out to be $165 which isn't bad. But there is a catch if you don't use all 3 sprayings they charge you there normal rate which is $125 which is drastically over priced. Which I had no clue till I called there direct line so that I could cancel my other 2 sprayings cause we got rid of our house. Dealt with one person he told me he had to transfer me to management and when he took me off of hold he said management was busy so they would have to call me back. Then when management called me back they gave me 3 options 1)let the service transfer to the people that took our house 2)transfer it to our new property 3)Pay the one time fee of $125. Which is what i'm going to end up doing since I won't do the other 2 options. This is ridiculous and I won't ever be recommending this company to anyone!
