Fairfax Valet Parking

Review: On 3/8/2014 at approx 6:45 p.m. Fairfax Valet parking took possession of my vehicle a 2002 [redacted] model xls at [redacted]. for a Dinner reservation at [redacted] Restaraunt that they park for. The vehicle was in perfect condition. The vehicle was returned at the end of our dinner and then it was noticed that the leather steering wheel was ripped and torn. A claim report was filed at the scene and the owner [redacted] apologized and requested that I get two estimates of which I did. The owner was then emailed the estimates and called and has since disallowed these damages. After numerous attempts the owner refused and continues to refuse to make compensation to have the damage repaired that was not present when the valet took posession but was present when the valet returned the vehicle. A witness in the vehicle can and will attest that the damage was not present when the valet took possession and was present when returned.The steering wheel must be replaced as it cannot be repaired.Desired Settlement: I wish to settle this outside of a court litigation by receiving payment compensation for the replacement thereof.The cost of replacement based on the lesser of the two estimates is $1129.63. I would be willing to accept a settlement of $1000.00 so that we can end this matter and that I may have my car fixed to the condition it was in prior to the Valet company taking possession.
