Eight years ago I met Bob C[redacted] (partner at Fairfield Auto and Truck Care) dad in passing one Saturday morning in town and happen to mention that my wife and I had just moved to Fairfield and needed to find a local auto care company we could trust. He handed me his son's card and we have had nothing but great experiences since.
This evening was no different...my wife called me at work late this afternoon to say that her car would not start. I suspected a dead battery and swung by Rob and Glen's place on my way to her. They gave me their portable battery to take with me and when I showed back up twenty minutes later they stopped what they were doing to replace her battery on the spot. The battery is not easily accessible and it took them about 45 minutes to complete the job and test everything. They charged me $40 for their time. I have had enough experience with dealerships to know that they would have charged more than twice that in fees and had me waiting for hours.
Whether it's going out on the road on a moment's notice to change my wife's tire when she was stranded with three little ones in the car (I was out of town), or repairing engines / electrical systems, these guy's are the real deal and really solid guys.
I recommend them all the time - even to friends who live in neighboring towns. Everyone who takes my advice ends up thanking me.

I would like to say that this is one of the most honest and affordable car repair place I have ever been to. We have been using them for a while for routine maintenance, yet when a very serious repair was botched by a roadside repair mechanic, Fairfield Auto & Truck not only fixed the poor workmanship, but they were honest in doing just what was necessary during this expensive fix.
I commend them for their integrity.....and highly recommend them to everyone in the area.
