Fairfield Avenue Notary Reviews (2)

I stand by my original statementThe response from the business is entirely untrueI am not sure if his actions were illegal, that is for one of the agencies I contacted to determine, however what Mr*** and Fairfield Avenue Notary did was both fraudulent and unethical and it is a shame that this how they choose to conduct businessI hope appropriate actions will be taken against this business.UPDATE: The clerk at the notary contacted me the next day and said and I quote: "Hey ***, now what mess did your husband get us into?" When I asked her for a copy of my paperwork from when I came in to gift the van to my husband, she stated that I could come in and get a copy of the paperwork whenever I am ready and that she needed to speak to me anyway because *** *** was just in recently trying to get a car in my nameI took personal time that day and went into the notary office expecting a copy of everything that I had signed, instead the only thing she had for me was a copy of a pink slip to the buyer with my name on it that I did not authorizeThe buyer's name was blacked out, but I was able to make it out*** *** ***.When I asked the clerk for a copy of the paperwork that I signed to gift the vehicle to my husband, *** *** and transfer the license plate and title to him, she stated that that paperwork was destroyed because they did not need itI asked how can that be when that gift was all that I authorized and that I did not authorize the sell of the vehicle to a third party under my nameShe then referred me to Rich P***, the ownerHe took me into his office and when I questioned him about the gift paperwork, he stated that if I wasn't going to listen then I could just leave. I stood up and started out of the office. I then stopped and asked why they did not just gift the van to *** weeks ago as agreed, then wait for the title to come in his name and sell it. Rich P*** told me to keep my marital problems between usThen he stated that it does not matter that I did not authorize them to sell the vehicle under my nameHe stated that once I signed the title, they could do whatever they wanted with itI stated that this had nothing to do with my marriage, they altered and destroyed paperwork after I signed it, sold a vehicle, and collected payment under my name without my consentHe basically dismissed me and again refused to give me a copy of anything other than the blacked out copy of the pink slip.Rich P*** is a personal friend of *** and his family. He does a lot of things on the side for them that is not my business, however this affected me and I do not wish to withdraw my complaint. This needs to be known and steps need to be taken to ensure that Rich P*** does not use his notary license to commit fraud in the future
