I ordered a car collectible for my husband's birthday in July, It was on back order and didn't arrive for months I decided to give it to him for Christmas instead(Why would you show a product as available if it won't be for numerous months???) They immediately started sending me a Catalog which I DID NOT request, WAS NOT ASKED if I wanted, and DID NOT WANT! My husband brings in our mail, so my surprise was blown...one he tho't would never happen as he'd never been able to locate a model of his dream car before and tho't didn't exist I contacted them immediately with the first Catalog and let them know I was not at all happy that they had ruined my big surprise and to make sure I never again received a catalog as I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN! But, I have received a Catalog EVERY MONTH including December, I called and requested that I not receive any more EVERY SINGLE MONTH AFTER THE NEXT CATALOG ARRIVED, yet continued to receive themThey're either malicious, totally incompetent or just plain STUPID! Especially if you're ordering something for a surprise, try a another option!

The new Porsche antique car models on page and of their newest catalogue are NOT METAL...they are cheap plasticWhen I phoned, the agent said they are a special "resin"uh huh"resin" = PLASTICYet they charge $and over for this trashNOWHERE IN THE CATALOG does it state that these are NOT metal! This is FRAUDThe agent said it stated in the catalog that these were "resin", but nowhere does it state thatHer response?
"We will have to do better next time." Just got the new catalog and again, NO MENTION THAT THESE MODELS ARE CHEAP PLASTICAnyone reading a "die cast" catalog would expect the models to be all metal because, again, that is what "die cast" refers to.TOTAL RIP OFF and reported to Consumer Protection Agency especially because they DID NOT CORRECT THEIR RECENT CATALOG to show that these are cheap C*** trash!

Even with their NEW catalog, on page 4, the "Porsche antique car posting" has NOT BEEN CORRECTED to indicate that these are NOT DIECAST METAL; THEY ARE CHEAP PLASTIC WHICH IS NOT COLLECTIBLE!!!

Review: My late brother-in-law [redacted] had ordered an item from Fairfield Collectibles in 2012. He passed away in nov 2012 and his wife, my sister passed away in Feb 2012. I am the executor of my sisters estate. After all of [redacted]'s accounts has been closed, a refund check from Fairfied arrived in the Name of [redacted]. Since that check is not depositable or cashable I have repeatedly requested Fairfield to issue a new refund check in the name of [redacted] Estate and have offered to forward any documentation required. Their response has been that it is impossible to reissue that check. In essence Fairfield is profiting off the death of my brother-in-law. The refund check, which has been returned to Fairfield, expires 90 days from 7/24/13.Desired Settlement: New refund check in the name of [redacted] Estate
