Aloha ***Our sincere apologies, we truly wish these two major appliances hadn’t broken down during your stay Our pre-cheinspector discovered the AC wasn’t working on the day of your arrival The technician ordered parts from the mainland reporting it would take at least a week
to complete the repair thus we installed the portable AC’s In the past we have found the portable AC’s to be a wonderful short term solution even for the two story properties as the cool air sinks from upstairs down the stairway also cooling the downstairs This is the first property we have had problems with the breaker switches blowing out *** said the lights were replaced the same day reported thus she was surprised to discover you couldn’t cook without lanai lights In the move to the other oceanfront property on Sunday the pre-chewasn’t completed as it was a last minute decision thus the shortage of supplies We were dismayed to hear that the water heater had broken and to find out it wasn’t a simple one day water heater replacement but a hot water on demand system which had to be ordered from Oahu requiring several days to complete the repair This is the only one of our properties with a hot water on demand system *** Ito notified me of the appliance problems and our challenges in making the repairs in a timely manner We offered a free night to compensate you for the inconveniences which you accepted We are glad you brought your concerns to the Revdex.com to discover this isn’t common for our company that in fact these two breakdowns and the time required to fix them were a very unfortunate unique combination of occurrences We actually have an excellent history of timely responses to guests concerns and equipment failures I am sure you can confirm we had service people on site the same day of every reported concern We hope you will give Whalers Realty Management another chance, consider us for your next visit and allow us to provide a 10% discount on any accommodations you book with WRM in 2016.Once again our sincere apologies and thank you for checking on our record with the Revdex.com.Sincerely,Mark *M***

We did receive a one night refund - they did not offer this refund. I asked for that consideration as we had experienced so many problems during our stay. Of note is a *** review on the *** property when the clients also had AC problems. In response to that complaint, the WRM manager stated that the property owner was going to install new central air conditioning. That did not occur. The owner of *** has not upgraded their condo as have others in the same complex. We were in or different *** in *** *** and there is an extreme difference between *** and ALL of the others we were in. *** should be an embarrassment to WRM in comparison to all the others. The refund from WRM was sent to the wrong credit card and only after following up with WRM and my bank was I able to have that resolved. With our overall experience with WRM, I would not return to one of their *** should we return to Lahaina
