As a GEICO Auto Repair Express shop, we are staffed with an actual GEICO employee who performs all inspections and thoroughly documents any and all prior existing damage not related to the claim being filed. During the inspection the GEICO adjuster physically inspected the vehicle with the owner and documented all of the prior not related damage on an inspection form, which was then signed by the owner of the vehicle. The vehicle was then photographed by the adjuster. The repairs where completed as per GEICO's repair estimate. The car was picked up by [redacted]'s [redacted]. After the vehicle was picked up, [redacted] called and stated that her rear bumper had damage on it that she claimed we had done here at Fairway. We asked that they bring the car back so that we could look at it. When the car was brought back to the shop, A GEICO [redacted] was present along with the Auto Damage adjuster who estimated the car originally. The [redacted] stated that the damage was old and was preexisting damage. The GEICO [redacted] advised the customer of this. When [redacted]s boyfriend asked us at the shop what we where going to do to fix this, we stated that we were not responsible for the damage as per the GEICO [redacted] and we would not be repairing it.
