This company has taken excess funds from my account and has not been willing to return them in a timely manner I had to go a full month without any money and when they did return the excess funds they returned more than they should have and then promptly reported me to collections This is the worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with

transaction. Fairway is not in the business of conducting land surveys and was not involved in the process outside of ordering a survey for the customer through an outside, unaffiliated vendor. Customers always have a choice of picking a survey company themselves or selecting one from the list Fairway has done business with in the past.
At no time during the transaction was Fairway aware of any mistakes or inconsistencies with the Survey for Customer's property and the loan closed successfully.
Upon learning of Customer's issues, Fairway management, who has worked with this client in the past, went above and beyond to try to assist him in getting the matter resolved by contacting both the Title and Survey companies to seek recovery for any damages Customers may have incurred due to their mistake.
Since Fairway is a third and unrelated party, we have no standing to request assistance, and were unable to further assist with this issue, which has been communicated to him by the branch management and VP of Customer Service for Fairway. It is true that one of the sisters had new income that it turned out could not be counted and the loan was not approvable with down payment assistants at the last minute.  Once I determined the loan this borrower was attached to I remembered it well. The loan officer was sick and heart broken...

that she could not help this family and advocated for them all the way to the SVP of Credit Policy and Risk.  The only solution was to close without the down payment assistance, which [redacted] alluded to.  In any case we thought we had refunded their earnest money at the time as it was absolutely warranted. We will be submitting a check request this week for their $2000 earnest money deposit as soon as I receive final confirmation that we did not clear an earlier refund check.  Obviously with three borrowers it’s possible one received and cashed. I imagine though with how close this family is that we either as an oversight did not cut the check or it was lost in the mail.  We did also at the time offer to do their loan with no lender costs in six months when the income of one of the borrowers would be usable and they could be approved.  That offer still stands and I would be happy to help them myself. We never want a client to have a negative experience and I am sorry this was such a difficult situation.  We are here to help, refund their money, and make it more cost effective if they’ll give us an opportunity in the future.

I worked with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, and they were great from begging to the end. I worked with xxxxx. I had a very delicate situation when we were purchasing our home. Everyone else denied us a loan. We had a contract in place for a home, we were pre-approved for a loan through xxxxx. Then, xxxxx denied our loan, we were in a really crunch of time and Fairway working with xxxxx, made it work. My husband and I were very pleased with their work. Great company to work with.

Fairway Independent Mortgage came recommended by our realtor. They worked together beautifully. Everything went smoothly. Our loan officer, Kari, was on top of everything at all times, and made the process for us, as first-time home buyers, pain-free. She worked around the clock for us to make sure all paperwork was turned in to the correct people with no delays. Once we found our home and placed an offer, the entire process from offer to closing went quickly and was done in under 2 weeks. Nothing was ever late or delayed, communication was wonderful, and follow up was amazing. Thank you so much to Kari, Kendra, and Kathy for all of your support and hard work and immense amount of knowledge!

Review: I recently bought a home (03/25/2015) and I was told by my Home Mortgage Consultant (Gwen [redacted]) that I qualify for a MCC certificate. She said I would receive a certificate in the mail with further instructions within a few weeks. On 05/22 I e-mailed the [redacted] because I still never received the MCC. Fairway (Sara [redacted]) informed me on 05/27 that I should receive my MCC in a couple weeks. On 07/02 I emailed Gwen and Sara checking status; no response. On 07/14 I sent another email to the two of them; Sara responded the same day letting me know she would check the status and get back to me that same day. It has been one week and I still havent received anything. I emailed both of them again today (07/21) to check the status.Desired Settlement: I would like my MCC certificate as I was promised when I purchased my home.

Fairway strives to provide an unsurpassed customer service to our clients and has agreed to work as a liaison between Ms. [redacted] the Housing Commission in collecting and submitting proper paperwork in order to obtain the certificate. Fairway was not aware of the amount of time such transaction may take with the State. Review: All I want is a return call from Laura G[redacted]. I'm sure she will find this extreme but my family and I are just wanting to get into our home that we started building I October. We've had a setback because FedLoan servicing for my student loans has late payments on my credit. They were "suppose" to be in deferment. I immediately took action and got everything disputed. I just have had lots of questions concerning my loan the only time since this I've actually talked to Laura was when she told my that we might want to talk to Randy our builder about doing a "private mortgage". Seriously that upset me because I was pre-approved to build my home and now after getting down payment and saving money in the bank I'm unable to close and that's the best she has to say. For one thing I call her to get help and find out what I need to do for MY home and she doesn't even call me back nor my husband! I've done everything I was told to do and even Shelly the underwriter emailed me and said Laura will contact me not to keep trying to reach her basically. At first the company was great now I just want to close that's all! I've enjoyed working with Laura up until this point and don't dare ask bout USDA loans she will flip and I'm sure it's because she makes more money on FHA. I just want to close and finish this process with Fairway Mortgage. Like I said many times is please help. My family is in desperate need of our home. I've had many people ask if who we are using and would we use them again and my response is I'll let you know when it's over.Desired Settlement: I just want a little understanding about my student loans and understand that I instantly filed a dispute so I'm doing my part. Review: My Husband and I have decided to look for a pre-approval mortgage lender and found this lender online. The minute I emailed them, January 26, 2015, [redacted] called me to tell me where to find the short application I would need to fill out. Immediately after that I received a text from [redacted] that she would be working with me on this application. She sent me a list of items I needed to fax. On January 28, 2015, I faxed 40 pages of everything. Our ID's, All our bank accounts, bank statements, W2 for 2 yrs....pay stubs..etc.I called 3 days later and spoke with a [redacted] who answers calls after hours and told me she would give the message to [redacted] in the morning. [redacted] did tell me they were working 24/7 even though the weather with the storms was slowing everyone else down. They can work from home. The following day I left a message and a email for [redacted]. The following day I left a message for [redacted].Now I'm scared. No one has called me. No one. Either this is not a business or it has the worst customer service in the entire world. Today's date is February 12, 2015[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a letter of apology and or a piece of mind knowing my personal and private information is not out there in the wrong hands. Fairway takes customer’s concerns very seriously and strives to provide the upmost excellent service. Fairway would like to explain the chain of events to Revdex.com.Upon the receipt of [redacted]’s information, the branch submitted it for processing and set up reasonable expectations with [redacted]. Fairway explained that review of her credit and income documents may take several business days. [redacted] reached out to the branch on February 06, 2015 for the follow up. Due to the branch’s location being in Boston, it got affected by the recent inclement weather that has shut down the city and all branch operations. The branch did respond to [redacted] within 4 business days on February 13, 2015 updating her on the status and apologizing for any delay in communication due to the offices being closed.The branch has resumed all business on February 13, 2015 and has since remained in constant communication with [redacted] via email, text and phone and is continuing to assist with her mortgage needs. Review: I was referred to this company to refinance my home. I previously worked on foreclosures and am aware of the shady servicing companies that are most often involved in foreclosures. I specifically asked my loan agent whether [redacted] or [redacted] were companies that may obtain my loan. He claims to have run the question up to headquarters and said that they did not do business with these two terrible companies. After hesitation, I trusted him and went through with the refinance. Today I learned that my loan will be serviced by [redacted]. I had specifically told him that I would not go with a company that uses these two servicing companies. Fairway misrepresented the companies with which they do business and the options for where my loan could end up. I would not have closed on the refinance if I had known that Fairway worked with either of these companies.Desired Settlement: Fairway should be fair and honest with the companies with which it does business. I would have selected the company my loan went to, if that had been presented as an option. I am incredibly frustrated and would NEVER recommend Fairway to any friend looking to refinance. They should use reputable companies as their servicers, and not misrepresent the type of company they are.

My husband and I have had a horrible experience with Fairway in Kent, WA. Their communication skills are terrible, which makes the mortgage process much harder than it has to be. We were 3 days from closing before we heard anything from our loan officer and that's only because I reached out to him to see if we were still on track. After being told we were having some underwriting issues, our loan officer Anthony ignored our calls and emails. Very unprofessional! The home buying process is stressful enough and to be completely in the dark makes it even worse. Needless to say, we have switched to another mortgage company since Fairway has totally botched our loan. If you are planning to use this company, keep on them! Call or email a couple times a week to make sure they are doing their job. Or just go with another company so you can relax and pick out new furniture and paint colors.

NEVER AGAIN! My Fairway experience started off with a bit of a hiccup. My initial mortgage quote did not include PMI so you can imagine how happy I was to see such a great monthly payment. Oops, sorry. Ok, everyone makes mistakes. We smile and move on. The rest of the process went smoothly. Fast forward 10 moths and my monthly payment starts doing funny things. I shoot an e-mail off to my loan officer asking for some help in understanding what is happening. That was a month ago. Yesterday I called asking for help and was told I had to contact a call center in Texas. I would much rather deal face-to-face with the people right here in my community that originated my loan. I asked to have my loan officer call me. Guess what. No response. Fairway claims that "Customer service is a way of life." It is really nothing more than a cliché if you don't live up to it.
