I am rejecting this response because: This is ridiculous. You've seen the car You had it for nearly two weeksAnd its not the first Odyssey you've worked onTo paint the hood and blend into the fenders; how much?

We achieved a color match using a technique called panel painting to save the customer moneyWe feel the color match is correctThe customer paid for what he was providedWe understand that color match can be subjective so we attempted two variations to satisfy the customers requestSo we
painted the vehicle times with variations provided by the paint manufacturerWe have to pick one that is the best matchIn most cases this is the answerThe customer still felt the paint could match better.? ? In this instance we have to move to a different procedure called blendingthis procedure is common and requires painting a portion of the fenders and blending out with clear coatThis customer would incur additional expense for this procedureWe did not charge him for this procedure the first timeI have offered to the customer to repaint the hood again for free and only charge him cost to blend the fendersThe customer declined stating that he did not want to put any more money into the vehicleThe offer still stands.? ? There are times when the vehicle age and history prevent and exact matchThe solution is blendingthere is additional cost but ensures a blend-able matchIt is difficult to determine at this time if the customer would even be happy with the blending procedureWe would like to think this is the answer.? The offer we have for the customer is to blend the fenders at our costThis also confirms that the blending process is not being recommended as an up sell in any way.? Thank you

We have seen many vehicles just like yours and we have seen your vehicle  you are correct. I would just like to be specific to your vehicle. I do not want any misunderstanding and the best way to do that is in person. This is not a great deal to ask considering the situation. I want to establish clear communication with you in regards to cost. If it suits you when you come by we can accept the vehicle at that time and put you in a rental car while we work on the car. we would cover the rental for you. Thank you

painted the vehicle 3 times with 3 variations provided by the paint manufacturer. We have to pick one that is the best match. In most cases this is the answer. The customer still felt the paint could match better.   In this instance we have to move to a different procedure called blending. this procedure is common and requires painting a portion of the fenders and blending out with clear coat. This customer would incur additional expense for this procedure. We did not charge him for this procedure the first time. I have offered to the customer to repaint the hood again for free and only charge him cost to blend the fenders. The customer declined stating that he did not want to put any more money into the vehicle. The offer still stands.   There are times when the vehicle age and history prevent and exact match. The solution is blending. there is additional cost but ensures a blend-able match. It is difficult to determine at this time if the customer would even be happy with the blending procedure. We would like to think this is the answer. The offer we have for the customer is to blend the fenders at our cost. This also confirms that the blending process is not being recommended as an up sell in any way. Thank you

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/18) */
Contact Name and Title: [redacted]/owner/GM
Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX
Contact Email: [redacted]@faithqualityautobody.com
We regret the unfortunate interaction regarding Mr. [redacted]. We did inspect the window operation and found a regulator...

failure along with a misaligned door glass. The regulator is a wear item and not covered under our warranty. specifically because we never replaced the regulator in question.
Although we made an effort to explain to Mr. [redacted] that the damaged regulator and misaligned door glass caused the damage to the tint long before we inspected the vehicle. He insisted. He then became verbally profane directed towards me. I then told him to leave and that we would not help him at all.
Mr. [redacted] is not entitled under any provision of our warranty for the problem he is encountering with his vehicle.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The main reason for the unpleasant interaction in the first place, was the fact that [redacted] insinuated that the glass was already scratched before he touched the car and thought that I was trying to pull something over on faith quality autobody. The fact of the matter is that they did replace the controller arm inside the door. The problem with the control arm occurred because of faulty installation of the parts that they did transfer from the old door to the new door. screws have backed out and they have a lifetime warranty on service and parts which this is part That they serviced. It's not unreasonable to think that a door window should roll down for the life of the car this is not a wearable part as he claims I talked to my insurance company and they will reopen the claim and handle this through the insurance company at this point. [redacted]'s response is based on him trying to cover his [redacted]. The rude and unsatisfactory customer service I received that day is absolutely uncalled for and should never be demonstrated to any customer at any business for any reason. I am absolutely fed up with the lies that this company continues to deliver to cover their [redacted] on the situation they should be stepping up and covering in the first place.
