Faithful Irrigation & Lighting Service

Review: On November 20th, 2013, my husband and I intended to contract with [redacted], owner of Faithful Irrigation and Lighting Service, for a complete backyard remodel. Despite numerous meetings and discussions, however, the final proposal was not done according to repeated instructions, the labor and costing figures did not add up correctly, and it was not a document that we could use for planning and execution. In advance of the final contract signing, I wrote [redacted] a check for $500, payable to Faithful Irrigation and Lighting. When he realized that it would take 10 days to clear, he returned the check to my husband, asking for cash. My husband gave him $500 cash. The next day, after reviewing the final proposal thoroughly, we realized that we could not move forward with Faithful and my husband, [redacted], called [redacted] to let him know. I subsequently contacted [redacted] repeatedly by emails, we had two phone conversations and I left two voice mails. Despite his assertion that he was going to repay the $500 he has failed over the course of the past two and one half months to make any effort at repayment. No work was done on our property.Desired Settlement: I would like the $500 refunded in cash plus another $250 to compensate me for the six hours I have pursued this matter with [redacted]. My normal billing rate is $120/hour so the $250 does not cover the time, but I feel it is appropriate to request it.

Review: Agreed upon landscaping services paid for but to date not completed. Project should have been completed within weeks. It is almost 3 months and a significant amount of work still needs to be done. Phone calls go unanswered. When finally answered promised to continue working the next day but fails to show up. Works on average of 4-5 hours when he does show up to work. Recently informed that although he took our money for our project he now does not have the money to work at our house until he completes other peoples projects. His business ethics leaves a lot to be desired. We have been more than patient waiting to have our backyard project completed.Desired Settlement: Timely completion of paid for project. Would like completion of agreed upon and paid for services within one week or refund of monies paid but work not completed.
