Revdex.com spoke to Ed at business and the following was relayed and clarified: The car has been returnedThere is nothing wrong with the car, it was driven for a week with no issuesWe went above and beyond for the customer and could hold him responsible for the carHowever, we have the car and will not be taking any recourse against the customer

We received your correspondence dated January 4th regarding a product issue complaint from *** *** of *** ***, NY concerning his *** *** ** that he purchased from our company on January 12, When Mr*** purchased the vehicle, a day warranty was includedThe
vehicle's mileage was 76,miles at the time of the saleOn February 2015, Mr*** reported that there was an intermittent problem with the brake lights that affected the shift interlock systemWe scheduled his vehicle for service on February 18thGiven the sporadic nature of the problem, it was difficult for us to diagnose as the brake lights would be functioning normally whenever he brought the *** to our shopHe brought it in again on February 26th citing the same issueWe replaced the switch that we thought was causing the intermittent problem at no cost to Mr***On May 5th, Mr*** brought the vehicle in for a regular lube/oil/filter serviceA little over a week later, Mr*** reported that he was experiencing the same intermittent issue with the brake lights and brought the vehicle into our shop on May 14th but they were functioning normally at that timeOn May 27th, he brought the vehicle back as a "service vehicle soon" dash light had come on and he was having the same issue with the brake lightsDiagnosing the problem was extremely difficult due to the intermittent nature of itWe looked at the vehicle again on June 11th as he was having the same issue and were able to diagnose the source of the problem; the body control module was defectiveSince this is a part that needs to be installed & programmed by a *** *** dealership, we provided Mr*** with a loaner vehicle and delivered his *** to *** *** of *** on June 15thOur company also covered the cost of replacing the defective part ($for labor & parts)We have enclosed a copy of the paperwork for your referenceOn June 18th, Mr*** notified us of a problem with the fog lights and brought his vehicle inA switch was found to be defective and was not related to the previous issue with the body control moduleIt was replaced at no charge to Mr*** even though he was well beyond the day warranty periodOn December 8th, Mr*** brought his *** back to our garage reporting that there was an extended crank and we found his spark plugs were in need of replacementWe also repaired his driver's seatAll of this was done with no charge to the customer even though he had the vehicle for nearly a year; once again, well beyond the day warrantyWe do not feel that Mr*** is entitled to any refundOur company has been in business for over years because we value our customers and provide them with top quality servicePlease feel free to contact us at the shop with any questions you may have regarding this issueBest regards, Edward F., President/Shop Manager Fake's Auto Enterprise, Inc
