Falck Northern California

I have had issues with this ambulance company since 2021. My insurance battled with them for over a year then insurance recently cut the check to pay them. When I got the check from insurance I paid them via credit card and said I was clear. A month later I get a noticed from collections for the same amount. I call Falck they say oh sorry our agent should not have accepted the payment from you they should have told you to pay collections who has the account however you now have to pay that amount to collections. I then advised that well you took my money for the amount I am not paying this again and I paid directly through you. You would need to refund me so I can pay collections. They said sorry we don't do refunds and no we can't do that. It was disgusting how they could sit there take my money but expect that I pay double again to now collections for their mistake. I did call collections and collections treated me far better with the situation and said don't worry we see you were good with the account since you paid them and you owe nothing also you should never have to pay double for it and it was wrong for them to say they don't o refunds and sorry you have to pay for it again knowing it was their accounting mistake.

This complaint is regarding Falck Northern California - Alameda ambulance service. On 08/12/2021 my hubby called me from his work to take him to Kaiser Emergency Department. I drove 22 miles to his job. When I got there he was inside the Falck ambulance. I spoke to the emergency medical technician who informed me that he was just going to check for my hubby's vital signs and then he would be released to me. The EMT shut the door and I waited patiently in my car for my hubby. All of a sudden, unexpectedly the ambulance took off with my hubby still inside the ambulance. The EMTs had absolutely no authority to take my hubby away. That's kidnapping! Since the ambulance service was not requested by me nor by my hubby the bill on this account for the Falck ambulance service will forever remain unpaid.

I used Falck ambulence service Nov, 2020. My insurance company (United Health) wrote me a letter telling me the recommended payment to Falck, and what insurance pay and my portion.

I paid my portion already. Falck would not accept the recommended payment amount and insist me to pay the remaining balance. It is so unfortunate, I would be aware of using Falck in the future.
