6/19/Thank you so much for this review we take them all with an open mind and only gather data to more improve our service we apologize for any inconvenience The review your stating is partially correct and partially not - our staff was hired to do this venue we arrived on time everybody was taken care of Yes! We did have plenty of leftovers that is correct - our staff was packaging all left overs to leave when a gentleman that was part of the wedding approached the the staff and asked verbatim Hey do you have any left overs ? We said yes sir we are actually packaging them to leave them here Where can we leave them ? He stated that wont be necessary - you guys did a great job and can leave Staff said ARE YOU SURE SIR ?? He said YES THAT'S FINE- Staff is there to follow orders - and not challenge anybody's authority Staff called me on the phone and asked me what to do ? I simply said - well if the person is telling you to go Then come on home In no way shape or form was this done maliciously staff did what was told and that's it We encourage our staff to leave ALL left overs unless instructed other wise we have no use for the food I received a very demanding text after my staff left to have them turn around and come back I said no mam i'm sorry staff is almost back to our commissary and I tried to explain what happen Did I maybe come off a bit rude ? YES I was on my 15th hour of work and my staff did what they was told is all .We stand behind our service and if we are in the wrong we will do anything to make it right As you can see 98% of our reviews are great - meaning we do good businessWe even offered [redacted] to reimburse him 50% of the cost Not because we did anything wrong only to make him feel better We do understand when dealing with hundreds of people you cannot please them all but we do our best!! I've apologized many times again IM SORRY for the inconvenience your guest put all of us through I stand firm the we did nothing wrong nor malicious I offered to pay half of the cost of the food just to make you happy , not because we did anything wrong I never heard back from you , all I seen was your review on [redacted] which is basically the only bad review we have and has had zero effect on our business because we do great work Again my staff did what was instructed that was it , if that doesn't make sense to you well I respect that but have nothing else to say I will pay you half the extra cost for the guests which was $, I will mail you a check for $and I would ask for you to remove that complaint from [redacted] Cordially, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: it is rude and it is not an appropriate amount

*** is a liar. I am attaching copies of all of our prior email correspondence prior to the wedding, which indicates that staff always leaves leftover food and that we were specifically ordering food for more people than we were expecting in order to have leftovers. *** claimed that this would be in the notes for the staff (even though it shouldn't need to be in the notes if it is always their policy to leave the food). Additionally, I am attaching an email from our wedding planner showing that she reached out to *** before the wedding and he was aware that she was his primary point of contact. I am attaching photos of the text between our wedding planner, which were not rude or demanding. She asked if he could have his staff return - he did not answer for thirty minutes and then told her that she should have done a better job as the wedding coordinator. He did not tell her that his staff were "almost to the commissary." *** writes that his staff could not find anyone - however, the wedding coordinator and her assistant were both in the area and my wife and I were also present. In fact, there are photos of us that show his staff packing up in the background. So we were easily found. With regard to the wedding guest (not part of the wedding party) that *** claims his staff spoke to - this person went looking for leftovers, why would he then tell the staff not to leave any? We spoke to this guest and he told us that he went looking for leftovers and saw the staff loading trays and packing up to leave. They told him that there weren't any leftovers. He asked, "Then what is that?" referring to the trays. They told him it was nothing. He told us that they were clearly loading the leftovers to take with them. He went back and told the rest of the people at the table what had happened and they told him to tell us. As soon as I realized that ***' staff had left, which was approximately minutes later, we asked the wedding planner to text him and ask the staff to come back. The wedding planner and her assistant were the ONLY point of contact for ***' staff that day, so I don't know why *** would act as though his staff should take directions from anyone other than the wedding planner, her assistant, or myself.In the attached emails that occurred after the wedding, *** claims that his staff called him and he told them they could leave if someone told them to. He also claims that because it was their 3rd event of the day, they were somehow not responsible for failing to fulfill our contract.Our event was in an area that had no cellphone service. His staff could not have called him. Our wedding planner also could not call him - which is why she texted him. And if he had responded right away, his staff could have returned the food and we would not be having this conversation. I have a ton of proof to show that there was no cellphone coverage at the event, if that is needed. But that is really not the point We clearly had a contract with *** to buy extra food, which he did not provide. We asked for a reasonable refund and he completely refused to provide us any refund, saying that his staff had done nothing wrong. He did NOT, as he claims, offer to give us a 50% refund. He is lying.We have now learned that many of our guests did not eat because it was over degrees and they were aware that there would be extra food later. I have no way of knowing what amount of food was leftover because of ***' staff's actions. Therefore, I want the entire contract amount refunded
