I am responding to ID ***, I do understand the concerns brought up by this particular customer and we here at Fallas practice everyday to give our customers the most professional and helpful customer service that we canIn reference to this concern of 4/I do not recall taking care of this customer as there are -other female managers at this buildingHowever in this case I will acqiese to the customers memory, Unfortunately there have been a few name changes and policy changes in this building that have kept us all on our toesManagers too! But again we stress to give the best customer service within these policiesI do remember the incident on 2/3/in which said customer came into the store with about - items for returnMy assistant manager had already explained to her that the policy states you can either EXCHANGE cash purchases or receive a GIFT CARD that does not expire that you can use at one of the other locations or at a different timeDebit cards are considered cashThis is posted twice at every register and printed on the bottom of the receipt it states EXCHANGES DAYS WITH RECEIPT, NO REFUNDSTo be clear Fallas Stores do return items on a exchange basis onlyOn the other hand all returns made with a credit card can and will be returned to your credit card promptlyOn the day in question there was a sign at register only that stated the debit process was doneShe chose to use cash, I explained that cash and debit are considered the same and would be treated as an exchangeThe customer and I had a lengthy conversation because she did not understand why last year we gave cash and this year we no longer doI offered her a plausible answer in which I said that between 3/and 4/that not only did the name change from *** (in which this store did indeed offer cash back to FALLAS in which all cash purchases are considered exchanges, She was a little upset with me but left the store without incident

On Sunday 01/31/16 , I made a purchase from Fallas using cash as my method of payment due to multiple signs at each register advising that they were not able to process debit/credit payments. On Tuesday 02/02/16 I went to return a few of the items that were purchased on 01/31/16. I was advised at...

the register that because I'd used cash as my method of payment I would only be given a store credit. stating it was now part of there new return policy. they will not refund a cash on a cash purchase. I requested to speak with a manager whom I'd dealt with in the past when the store first opened who I found to be an incompentent liar. However when she explained this new policy I was told had I used my debit card or used is as a credit card I would recieve a full refund with the money being placed back on my card. I find this to be an unethical practice, because I was forced to use cash, unknowilingy that if I did need to return an item I would only be able to recieve a store credit.
