I am rejecting this response because:it does not address any of my concerns and gives a accounting of events with no resolution even though they admit there were significant issues with their work and Josh had not been back to supervise the project in almost a month and had not responded to any attempts to reach him prior to my letter stating that I was going to file a complaint if no agreement could be reached on completing the project satisfactorily

To Whom It May Concern,  We Famiglia Homes received your complaint notice from [redacted] at [redacted].  We took over a project for [redacted] on September 1, 2016 after a pervious contractor had abandoned the project back in May of 2016.  The project was to...

complete her full bath on the first floor to include these items: 1. Remove last of Demo in the bathroom 2. Reglaze Tub 3. Fix and finish pluming 4. Install Insulation  5.  Install new tile in shower and walls, tile in the window Install shower Niche (shelf), Install new exhaust fan6. Install tile backsplash in Kitchen 7. Hall away all trash and trash in the garage8. Install/fix faucet in bath that is broken9. Fix laundry pluming  Due to her experience with her pervious contractor she had concerns about deposit payment schedule so we changed our normal payment schedule to as follows: Customer agrees to pay $1000 Deposit 9/6/16 Customer agrees to pay $1000 once demo is complete and plumping is done and signed off onCustomer agrees to pay $2000 once tile for shower and back splash is ready to installCustomer agrees to pay $1000 once tile is compete Customer agrees to pay $925 on completion of the project  Once the deposit was received we removed all the debris from her garage from the previous contactor and completed the demo of the bathroom. Our plumber then came in and competed the plumbing in the bathroom.  [redacted] already had an open permit for the plumping in the bathroom but not an open permit for the plumping in the laundry.  A conversation was had between Josh and [redacted] that we would call in an inspection for the bathroom plumbing and consult with the inspector so he may suggest the proper fix for the plumbing in the laundry.  When the Franklin County plumbing inspector showed up to [redacted] he passed the bathroom roughin plumbing and gave a few suggestions on how to bring the laundry plumbing as close to current code as possible.  The inspector went so far as to give us his work number if we had any further questions.  All the repair idea to the laundry plumbing we in our realm of capability but [redacted] decided it was not something she wanted to do anymore. At this time, she gave us a 2nd payment of $1,000 that was due once the demo and plumbing was completed.  Our confusion is if she felt the plumbing wasn’t competed why did she give us the 2nd payment of $1,000.  At this point we started tilting the backsplash through the course of this portion of the project it came to my attention that the material that [redacted] had previously purchased would not allow the oven to fit back in its spot due to the thickness of the material.  After showing her with a tape measure that the oven would not fit she informed me that something of like thickness was there before and the oven would fit.  Even though it was shown to her with the tape measure that it wouldn’t fit she instructed us to use this material anyways.  After the backsplash was completed the oven would not fit so we then had to remove a portion of the backsplash and remove part of the wall to set the tile as far into as possible.  Again, [redacted] was informed that this would result in a tight fit and was maybe a different material would be required.  She again instructed us to use the same material and that she would wedge the oven in.  At this point Famiglia Homes was purchasing replacement tile due to this change.  The damage to the oven was caused but forcing it into a space that was clearly shown that it wouldn’t fit.  At this point the bathroom was now drywalled and ready for tile.  Which another payment of $2,000 was due.  Again, if she was unhappy at this point in the project why did she write us another check.  As the tiling, be began [redacted] was working from home and visually saw 65% of the tile being installed. She then went out of town while the tiling was competed in the bathroom.  Upon her return, she was extremely disappointed of the tile job in her bathroom. This time we had already had to purchase more material due to the shortage of her material and the repairs that she requested.  Admittedly there were several significant problems that needed to be fixed.  She brought those problems to our attention and they were being attended to by a separate tile installer.  Progress was being made and then she sent us email on October 16, 2016 complaining about things that were broken that she had never mentioned before. A toilet that was broken that she didn’t mention, a service door that no one ever used, her drains that were running slow and saying we put things down her drains (no one put anything down her drain), oven that was damaged from not fitting in its spot (per her request).  She also complained that we damaged her bath tub.  In fact, the tub incurred no further damage during the work on the bathroom.  As part of the project the tub was being reglazed that would have fixed any damage to the tub.  We then responded a few days later on October 19, 2016 apologizing for the delays and that we would get her project wrapped up ASAP.  She then responded to our email saying that since we haven’t responded yet that she went ahead and filed a complaint with Revdex.com and the Attorney General and was going to file law suit.  At that time, due to the threating nature we stopped all work and communications and consulted our attorney.    In the course the of the bathroom project she wanted us to give her an estimate for finishing a space in her garage for her pig [redacted].  With a contract price of $2,500 that would be due upon completion of the project.  The project included:  1. Remove any existing shelving/cabinetry in the room 2. Re-insulate and drywall the entire room 3. Close off doorway into the garage 4.  4. Replace exterior door with Lenard friendly door 5. Install a water hose bib on the outside and inside Lenard's room 6. Install plastic trim and wall sheathing to protect from moisture 7. Install lighting as needed 8. Install small wall mounted heater 9.   We then proceed to remove the existing shelving and cabinetry in the room, installed a water hose bib on the inside and outside of [redacted]’s room.  As we went to drywall and insulate the room was already mostly insulated so we only had to fill in a couple spots of insulation.  At this point Josh and [redacted] had a conversation about a credit for the insulation since it was not needed to insulate the whole room.  Josh told her that we would give a credit at the end of the project since there was not deposits just a payment upon completion.  We then looked around for a dog door that would fit the pig, that was found at a tractor supply shop.  Josh then told [redacted] he found a door that would work.  It was at this point that [redacted] then informed him that she no long wanted the project done for no real reason other than she didn’t feel like it was going to work.  This left us more than half way done with the project with no payment just bills out of our pocket.  To date Famiglia Homes has spent considerable time and money to meet [redacted]’s requests.  We have spent over $1,500 in title work that was not to be our cost in the bathroom contract.  We spent $1,300 on [redacted]’s room on a project that is no longer being completed since she said “it was no longer going to work.”  The accusations of damage to her property were only brought to our attention in a threating email. At this time Famiglia Homes has no interest in investing more time and money at [redacted].  Thank you for your time and considering our side of the story.   Thank you,   Famiglia Homes ###-###-#### Josh and Alainna G[redacted]
