I am rejecting this response because: It's very upsetting to read the response which is far from the truth. The car was given to me with a day warranty and with the PROMISE to pass inspection, which is also stated in the sales contract, but yet he stresses the fact that it is not his responsibility. Then why put that on your vehicles and on paper? Since day one like I ALSO said in my complaint; the car has had problems and has NOT run in GREAT condition or RAN in FAIR condition for more than a week. The business stated in their response that they got the transmission rebuilt and paid for the work (Doesnt a rebuilt transmission come with a YEAR warranty???) When asked for the receipts of the work that was done for the rebuilding of the transmission we were REFUSED copies, but as I also mentioned the receipt they had in their files that they again REFuSED to provide was only for $or $that is not what it costs to REBUILD a TRANSMISSION, and it is absolute LIES that the car RAN GREAT FOR WEEKS, the car was back to their shop within or less than WEEK, and those are FACTS. Just like NOW that they SUPPOSEDLY FIXED the car and replaced some solonoids and was ready for pick up and tested and drove around. We picked the car up Saturday night and by Sunday night AGAIN the cars transmission is slowing down was not running correctly and as I shared with the business owner the car is again within day of returning iit AGAIN not running. The car has spent more time in their garage and in their possession since I have purchased the vehicle. It is a shame that people would do business in this manner, I called the dealer Sunday morning when the so called GREAT running car ONE DAY later is NOT running at all and again sitting in my driveway. Let's be clear this is not a car I paid $-$for "expecting" a junky lemon, the car was paid for $Cash and I traded in an Acura and a Junky Van which he gave me credit for $sos in reality the lemon I got was worth $and for that amount of money I would EXPECT to atleast have a running vehicle and of course I would expect to put some money into it and THAT is WHY I paid them over $for some repair they claim needed for the vehicle when it was overheating WHICH AGAIN was NEVER REPAIRED because AFTER that repair it OVERHEATED AGAIN. So the paperwork that goes with the inspection was NEVER provided when my vehicle was returned, THE receipts to show what work was REALLY done was REFUSED. I trusted this dealer and NEVER thought I was getting ripped off because they were recommended by a neighbor but that was my mistake, they seemed trusworthy and now it is CLEAR that they are NOT willing to do the right thing. As for the RENTAL - They provided me a CRASHED UP mini van with holes all over the bumper and caved in trunk and dents all over "And that description came from Harvey" the person I reported a dent that was put in the door while parked at Home depot" I reported it to Harvey and he told me "DONT WORRY ABOUT IT YESSI, CMON THAT CAR IS NOTHING BUT DENTS" As for they ez pass violations, its funny he fails to mention that they were faxed over to me and that I am caring for them since I do have an account and I am NOT a shady character I will care for my responsibilities. The unfixed dent on the van was because I offered to take the car to get the dent removed and for the door to be able to function properly, but MIKE wanted me to pay for a brand new door to be put on the van, how outrageous does that sound, the "rental" has a caved in trunk, over large dents, wholes in the bumper and he wanted a brand new door put on it??? I definetely refused that and at that point I told him to go through my insurance then if he didnt have insurance to cover that. Whenever/Wherever I have rented vehicles they have coverage, but its apparent things are run differently at this dealership. They had my vehicle for OVER A MONTH supposedly REBUILDING the transmissionCan they provide receipt showing when the car was actually worked on and what was done, and AGAIN if they "PAID" or got the transmission rebuilt, dont rebuilt transmission come with at minimum a year warranty???? So as I was writing this response I got a call from Harvey from the dealership asking me what was wrong with the car, I shared with Harvey that it is sad that anyone would say this car has run GREAT when it has NEVER run for more than a WEEK without constant issues. Harvey apologized and said that they will care for the issue and they will go pick up the car and see what is wrong with it now. He shared that they changed solonoids and that they found an issue with the alarm system draining the battery and advised me they had worked on that as well. The car previous to the time they had it "fixing the transmission" had never had any battery issues. It seems every time the car is returned there are new issues and I also stated PREVIOUSLY that when I went to pick up the car on two seperate occasions the car would not start and the one time the mechanic was present and said charging the battery would not help it would just die again and the second time Harvey was present and said to come back and he will have it checked. This vehicle is CLEARLY not a vehicle that should have been sold with sooooo many different issues, I can understand having a vehicle that is RUN and DRIVEN and will have problems DOWN THE LINE that need to be replaced due to wear and tearbut this VEHICLE has never run enough to get any wear and tear. So the dealers response is no refund, well I also said I would accept another vehicle in its place a vehicle that runs and I dont have to keep getting stuck on the side of the road with my children and have to pay for cabs and towings to get home. I think in all fairness and all the patience I have had, if the dealership wants to deny the refund then swap the car out for a car that runs GREAT at the least, but this car is NEVER going to run GREAT or FAIR for that matter. It looks GREAT on the outside but it definetely NEVER has or NEVER will run for any acceptable amount of time - Look again a day AFTER getting it back from them in "working condition" its sitting in my driveway unopperable. NOW I just finished speaking to Harvey who said that he understands my frustration and that they will do "right" by me and he is going to pick up the car from my home and they will resolve the issue, I told him at this point they should just give me another car, he said let me pick up the car and see what we can doLet's see what will happen next.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was advised by Harvey that he was waiting for Micheal to return from his days off to discuss the option of getting another car in exchange for the vehicle. Harvey did advise that they picked up the car (Which we had JUST gotten back from them AFTER the solonoids where changed - We got the car back Saturday night and Sunday morning car did not start) - Harvey advised that there seemeed to be an issue with the battery and that they also replaced an air flow sensor. Harvey shared with me that he had driven the car and it seemed to be ok. I shared with Harvey that my issue is that there is always some issue with the car; prior to the transmission issue I never had battery issues, when the car was in their shop for almost a month for the transmission repair and I went to pick up the car on two occasions the car would not start and now this is a new issue. Harvey and I discussed that this has been a bad experience for both of us and I told him that I preferred to just get another vehicle that would be atleast reliable and safe. Harvey advised that he would speak to Micheal and get back to me. I am still waiting to see what are the next step.

This vehicle was purchased without an extended warranty and, although we were not obligated to do so, we have fixed the issues that the customer requested. The customer admits in her complaint that she paid for repairs, which proves that she was aware that they were not covered by any warranty, but...

we have been willing to help her regardless. This vehicle did fail inspection and, although not required by law to do so, we had the transmission rebuilt. Once the transmission work was done, the vehicle easily passed inspection at a Certified NJ State Inspection Facility. The customer picked up the vehicle and confirmed that it was running and driving correctly, and the inspection was up to date. Weeks later, the customer complained that she was again having a transmission problem so we told her to bring it in right away. We explained that there could be other reasons that the transmission wouldn't shift properly. We replaced two solenoids that were defective and the truck again drives great. This is a used vehicle that, like any other, we always require maintenance. We are disappointed that this customer would suggest that we would lie about any repairs and would be more than happy to provide proof to the Revdex.com. We would also be happy to bet the customer over the validity of the inspection sticker, as requested in her complaint. The rental that we arranged at a discounted price was returned damaged and still has not been addressed by the customer. Additionally, this customer incurred multiple toll violations with the rental vehicle. No refund will be considered.

I have not been able to get a loan or credit, since my bankruptcy. Family Auto Brokers got me approved for a realy nice car and I have been rebuilding my credit. I recommend this dealer to anyone who needs a reliable car.

Review: I was sold a car that was never going to pass inspection. I was unaware of the multiple mechanical problems including a computer being replaced twice after only getting the car for three weeks. Then the owners simply reset the computer so the check engine light went on on three different occasions. After going to nj inspection three times I gave up and was denied the car being fixed until I caught up on payments. Now the car was taken back by the company and I am being refused being told where the car is so I can get my personal belongings. In the vehicle is my child's car seat my child's stroller my purse personal papers and my personal computer. Michael part owner said it's not their responsibility to have a vehicle pass inspection even though I brought the car with a warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like at least my down payment of $900 back since the car was obviously totalled.

Regards,

My car was totaled, so I went to Family Auto Brokers for a rental. They lowered the rental price so that my insurance company would pay the entire rental cost while I tried to get a new car. A recent foreclosure made it nearly impossible to get a car loan everywhere EXCEPT Family Auto brokers, I got my Ford Focus last year and it has been very good to me and all the payments that I make will be improving my credit rating. I recommend this dealership for their car rentals and sales.

These guys are a joke they take you as a fool. They say buy here pay here...and is not true. The cars are always giving you trouble. They never have a straight answer for you and are always stalking you to see where you park your car. They are not customer service professionals at all.
