Family Auto Car & Truck Sales

Bought a car from them. Put a few thousand dollars down. My credit wasn't good. They got me a loan from a bank in N. Y. Which would of been paid off in 2 years. Thought I was getting a decent car for what I could afford. Had the car for 2 days.Was on the highway and it just stopped working. Called Family Auto. They said nothings wrong with the car. Had to have it towed to my mechanic.Tried to call to get my money back and they can come and get the car. Would not respond to my calls. Had the mechanic look at it. Said lots of things are wrong with the car. To repair would cost a whole lot of money. He even tried to call A family Auto and was told that there was nothing wrong with the car and hung up. I called the bank and told them I am not sending any payments because the car doesn't run. They sent a tow truck to pick up the car from my mechanics shop. Thus now what credit I had is now destroyed. These people belong in jail. They are thieves!

Review: I bought an used car from them which I did not realized it was not inspected and they mention nothing about it. I drove off with it and 5 minutes later the check engine light came on. The following Monday took it to get inspected and was told the vehicle would not pass inspection at all that there was a gas lick. I contacted the dealer and told them the issue and it took them 3 to 4 day to get back to me. The lady from the dealer said there is nothing wrong with the car adn that she would take it to her mechanic to get it inspected that she would call me back. Never head anything back from her so I call her again a few days later and could not get a hold of her again and finally she call me back saying she could not fit me in for an appt with her mechanic for another two weeks. I told her this was not acceptable and that I either wanted her to trade me the car I purchase for a car that would pass inspection or that I wanted my money back. This is the second week waiting on them to fix this problem and nothing has been done, i'm out 3,740 with a car I purchase a week ago that cannot be driven because it wont pass inspection and has other major issues which the dealer bother to disclose.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back or have them give me a car of the same value that will pass inspection.

Review: I bought a $4650 truck from them on 2/28/14. They had it inspected by their mechanic ([redacted]'s Auto). I drove it for a few months until the ABS light came on. I took it to my mechanic ([redacted]s Automotive) who then refused to work on it and told me to never bring it back to his garage. The frame had massive rust on it and was actually welded together. I have pictures and a statement from him saying this kind of damage could not possibly happen in the time I had the truck. This should never have passed inspection and my mechanic said there was no way he could get it in shape to pass next year. I asked them for a refund and they refused.Desired Settlement: Immediate refund of my money.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on March 14 2014. I have not received my registration or title for the vehicle. Neither the registration or title have been filed with the DMV as of today. The temporary registration given at time of purchase has now expired. Despite several phone calls and messages left I am unable to contact anyone at the dealer ship and there have been no return phone calls. I have gone to the dealership on several occassions only to find a closed sign and locked door. On one occassion I did find the woman who completed the paperwork at the time of the sale,Diana B[redacted], at the lot. She told me that she was locked out of the office at the moment but that she would call me the next day with a resolution. I offered my phone number but she insisted that she had it . It has been a week now and there has been no contact from the dealership. The registration for my vehicle has now expired making it illegal to drive.Desired Settlement: I want a completion of the services immediately. Valid registration and Title. I also want a refund of $160.00 the fees charged at time of purchase for title tags and other documentation.

Review: Purchased a truck for $4995 as advertised after I got home and check the paper work they sold me the car for $ 6415 and the car has been towed Three times since my purchase the odometer was reading 122000 when I asked another dealer why the title stated exempt on it they told me the state does not have the correct odometer readingDesired Settlement: I'm looking to have my Deposit returned of $2150 and they can have the truck back in return
