I purchased a vehicle from family auto cars Inc on May 19,2020. On June 4th the car would no longer stay crunk. I had dealer from the *** dealership in*** to check the car out to see what possibly could be wrong. I was told that I would need an engine. I contacted the dealer that sold me the vehicle and gave him paperwork regarding the issue. He said he would not give me my money back. Further more DMV verified that the VIN number provided to the vehicle did not fit the name provided on the title that was given to me from purchase. The dealer will not answer my call from either number that was provided and he told me he doesn't want the car anywhere on his lot where I bought it from, which raises questions in my head. After the buyer inspected and test drove the vehicle he decided to purchase the *** The vehicle was sold " AS IS ". The buyer executed the proper documentation by signing the Buyers Guide and all other required documents. Upon request we will be happy to supply any documentation regarding the sale of the vehicle. The vehicle had passed *** Inspection requirements. It is our goal to have satisfied customers. We have no control over what happens after the car leaves the lot. After June 4, 2020, the buyer presented us with the estimate for a new engine for the vehicle exceeding $9000.00, given to him by a Franchise dealer in Pineville and demanded his money back ( we do not have a copy of the estimate ). We reminded the buyer that the vehicle was sold " as is " and that it is his responsibility to deal with any matter concerning his vehicle. The buyer states that we were not answering his calls and avoiding him. This is not correct. If the buyer wishes to talk, there is no reason that he cannot contact the dealership. If he wishes to have further communication, he can simply come by and visit. We are open from 9:30am to 6pm every weekday and till 3:30 pm on Saturdays. It would help if he makes an appointment so time can be set aside for a productive conversation. As to the buyers reference to " the DMV verifying the vin # etc. being a problem "., there is no issue with the documents that can be found. The vehicle was purchased at a dealer auction and had proper documentation. The buyer needs to provide more details if he continues to claim an irregularity. We look forward to be available if needed.
