The consumer called and stated that the business response is not accurate. She stated that when she called to make the appointment, she was told since she would be paying for the appointment it would be $77. At the end of her appointment, she went to pay and then was told they bill the insurance first and then will send a bill. When the consumer received the bill it was for $143. When she called the insurance company, they told her that they do not do writes off for the provider. The agreed amount was a verbal agreement.

Review: Dentist office manager at Family Dentist, [redacted]., [redacted] verbally agreed to charge me for $77.00 for teeth clean prior to the service, after the service she sent me a bill for $143.00 , I called and she remembered the $77.00 the agreed amount but won't do it, I asked her if I could talk to the dentist she refused., I paid the $77.00, now she has the collection agency threatened to report me to the creditor if I don't pay the extra $66.00 + 21.99 = 89.06 within 10 days, I do not want her to keep on doing this to other people, a verbal agreement is a contract. I would not have used the service if I knew I had to pay the $143.00.Desired Settlement: I want the business (family dentist) to accept the payment as agreed prior to the service which I already paid and stop billing be extra and stop threatening to report me.
