Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12259875, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Family First Constructions response is that we do not agree with the accusations.? However, we are working towards a resolution with the customer.? We made an agreement with the property owner to go outside the scope of work in the insurance claim.? The arrangement was that we were to take the total amount of funds received in all of the insurance claims we were working and use those dollars to do as much work as possible.? To date we have done much more work than we have received money for.? We are not going to do any additional work unless we are paid for it.? I can back all of this up with documentation if need be.? ? Sincerely,? ? Justin [redacted] ? Family First Construction ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:
TO: Minnesota Revdex.com 12MAY2018FROM: *** * *** *** *** *** *** *** Rockwell City, IA ###-###-#### (###-###-#### FAX) We are sending this message as a follto several communications we have had with your office concerning this complaintThe complaint was assigned ID ***We are responding to the letter dated 7MAYwe received on 11MAYand are well within the calendar day 'response' time. The one paragraph response to you from Family First Construction(FFC) is woefully insufficient!! First of all, we would like to know what the comment "we are working towards a resolution with the customer" meansWe have had NO phone calls, NO emails, NO mail messages from this firm since the email message dated 4APRwent to themWe are surprised that they responded to Revdex.comIf NOT responding or talking to customers directly is 'good business', then guess we don't understand!! Secondly, there have been NO responses to numerous questions in the several email messages about invoicing and the amount that FFC claims we owe them.FFC repeatedly told us to not talk to the insurance company because they would do all the negotiating to get 'more funds'Thus, the FFC comment "take the total amount of funds received in all of the insurance claims we were working and use those dollars to do as much work as possible'We agreed but also emphatically stated that we would pay no more than the insurance company would pay for all the claimsThe recorded face to face meeting in November provides documentation to agreementsWe did not talk to the insurance company during this timeThe facts are that FFC did not get as much funds as they had thought they could. The message dated 4APRfully explains who owes what to whomRead it again. We believe we proposed a fair resolution in our message dated 4APRWe are waiting for FFC to respond to those questions and providing a valid response with documentationWe also have contacted our insurance company agent and he proposed that a face to face meeting be arranged at his office with either adjusters or negotiators to resolve this matter.Thank you for your attention and response to this matter.

Mr***, Family First Construction admittedly has not completed all the work on all the claims but there is a caveat to that. The caveat being that throughout the duration of our relationship the goal was to take the total amount of insurance proceeds from all properties and use those dollars to get as much work done on as many properties as possible. Once the work was performed the deductibles would then be paid. On most of the homes that we did siding on, we did more work than what was approved. I will go through those homes below. We did a total of additional elevations of siding that were not approved. This equates to homes sided that were not paid for, as well as custom bent window/door wraps that were installed but not approved. The window/door wraps consist of framing around the door/window opening with 2xand then custom bending all pieces of aluminum to go over the frame work and then caulking everything in. I have seen the houses that we performed this work on and they look wonderful compared to what they looked like before. I understand that this has been a long and stressful process but I feel that the final outcome was a good one. We were able to get a lot of work done with the funds from the claims. I do not feel that we are out of line with the amount we feel we are owed. *** * *** *** - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps. *** * *** *** Work Included in State Farm Estimate - elevations siding, No wraps *** *** *** Work Performed - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps. *** *** *** Work Included in State Farm Estimate - elevations siding, No wraps. *** *** *** - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps. *** *** *** Work Included in State Farm estimate - elevations siding approved, No wraps. *** *** *** Work Performed - elevations of siding. *** *** *** Work Included in State Farm estimate - elevations siding. *** *** *** Work Performed - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps. *** *** *** Work Included in State Farm Estimate - elevations siding, no wraps. *** *** *** - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps. *** *** *** Work Included in State Farm estimate - elevations siding, no wraps *** *** *** Work Performed - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps. *** *** *** Work Included in State Farm estimate - elevations siding, no wraps. *** *** *** Work Performed - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps. *** *** *** Work included in State Farm estimate - elevations siding, window wraps. *** *** *** Work Performed - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps, 329' custom fascia. *** *** *** Work included in State Farm Estimate - elevations siding, window wraps, fascia partially approved *** *** *** *** Performed - elevations siding, custom bent window/door wraps, custom bent fascia. *** *** *** *** included in State Farm Estimate - elevations siding, no wraps, no fascia
