I spoke to the [redacted] on Saturday 2/4/before ever receiving the Revdex.com ComplaintI agreed at that time to provide them with a rental vehicle (at our expense) until we were able to resolve the concerns they had with their vehicleWhen our service department opened on the following Monday (2/6/17), we examined their truck and discovered the defective partA replacement part was ordered that day and arrived the following day (Tuesday 2/7/17)That part was installed the day it arrived and the truck was thoroughly cleanedOnce the repair was complete, we contacted the [redacted] insurance company (which was paying for the claim) and had them come examine the vehicle to verify they agreed that all work had been performed accuratelyAfter the insurance company gave us the "go ahead", I contacted the [redacted] and notified them that their vehicle was ready for pickupMr and Mrs [redacted] picked up their vehicle later that afternoon (2/7/17)They appeared to be very appreciative of our willingness to help resolve the situation and had only positive comments to say about the truck and the final product of work performed.Christopher C***General Manger

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Haley stood by their decision to charge the part-only costIt should be noted that while the dealer states the parts cost is roughly $180.00, the same OEM part can be had from other locations, including GM Parts Club (OEM GM part #***) for as low as $newAs such the dealer, while attempting to provide the appearance of some sort of good faith, is actually not doing so as they are grossly inflating the parts cost
I never agreed or stated that anything I had done to my vehicle caused the issue as Haley statesThe original lock cylinder did have to be drilled out due to it seizing, which is a known issue relating to the recallHowever, it should be noted that even after the cylinder was drilled out, the vehicle would start, run, and drive as normally expected, though without the protection of a locking mechanismWhen the dealership applied the recall repair, the vehicle would not start, and the steering would not turnApplying logic one would see that if the car started and drove before the repair and did not do so after the repair, then the repair caused the resulting damageIf the dealer was concerned, as they stated, that the drilling of the cylinder would be an issue, then that should have been brought up and addressed before commencing the repair. The implication by Haley is that their mechanics never make a mistake in any repairs, though when my vehicle was handed over, the bottom column of the steering housing was still not installed and I had to fix that myself

Christopher C*** is giving incorrect information Yes my husband and I did go pick up our truck when the insurance adjuster called us later that evening But we still was not satisfied with the outcome The dealership did not fix our truck correctly The door does not seal, the running board is slanted downward and was not measured before putting it on the truck, so when you step on the running board my foot slips off of it because its not out far enough and does not match passenger side There are numerous of dents to the bumper and tailgate as well as what appears to fresh key scratches on the back and back passenger side, there's a white streak on the driver door that they stated that it was repaired embedded in the paint as well as long scratch on the driver side passenger door The inside of my truck the back seat has brown and white stains on it that did not come from us My husband and I would like our deductable back because now we have to take to another body shop to have the truck repaired properly

vehicle. He did not let us know at that time that he had attempted to fix the concern himself by, and that the issue continued after that point. Mr. [redacted] was hoping that the recall would fix his concerns. We did not damage his vehicle. Upon removal of the parts per the recall, the improper prior repair caused further damage requiring additional parts not covered under the manufacturer recall. We showed Mr. [redacted] the damage that was done to the column, he admitted to performing the drilling and damaging the vehicle himself. We provided him with a quote. Mr. [redacted] approved the repair on a payment plan due to his financial situation  We provided him with a loaner vehicle while the required part was being ordered and installed. Upon picking up, there was a discrepancy in the quote. Mr. [redacted] stated he was only quoted the part and not the labor. He stated he was only able to pay the $180.00 plus tax for the part, but wouldn't have the funds to do so for approximately a week. Due to his explained financial situation, we agreed to the $180.00 plus tax for the part alone, and would absorb the cost of labor. We obtained a credit card authorization form and permission to charge his card at a later date when the funds are available and delivered his vehicle in working condition. To the best of our knowledge, this solution was agreeable on all parties. We agreed to charge the amount that Mr. [redacted] claimed we originally quoted to repair damages to his vehicle that he performed himself/had performed elsewhere. We did not damage his vehicle, and performed all repairs as authorized. We are not going after Mr. [redacted] for a mechanics lien, and did not threaten that.We stand behind our original, and agreed upon by Mr. [redacted], solution of the cost of the part only, to be paid at a later date when he has the available money. Please feel free to call or email with further questions. Ryan T[redacted]Fixed Operations DirectorHaley Automall of Farmville

we examined their truck and discovered the defective part. A replacement part was ordered that day and arrived the following day (Tuesday 2/7/17). That part was installed the day it arrived and the truck was thoroughly cleaned. Once the repair was complete, we contacted the [redacted] insurance company (which was paying for the claim) and had them come examine the vehicle to verify they agreed that all work had been performed accurately. After the insurance company gave us the "go ahead", I contacted the [redacted] and notified them that their vehicle was ready for pickup. Mr and Mrs [redacted] picked up their vehicle later that afternoon (2/7/17).
