Family Member Animal Hospital Reviews (2)

I usually don't write reviews however I was highly encouraged to do this by my family and friendsWe started going to this veterinary clinic because we just moved into town and I have two boxer dogs and this was extremely close to our houseOne of my boxer dogs got into the gorilla glue and decided to eat itWE took her to the vet the very next morning out of fear that she could get hurt by thisThe vet opened her mouth, looked down her throat and said she was ok and sent her homeA few days later our dog still was not feeling well so we rushed her back to the vetThe vet then took x-ray of her stomach and said no she's completely fine that her belly was full of kibbleWe then told her that this could not be because she had not eatenShe then sent us home and told us to have her drink some hydrogen peroxide and see if she threw upShe never didWe return back the next dayShe then sent us to peaks veterinary hospital and they told us to never have dogs drink hydrogen peroxide Because it was toxic and we ended up having to pay for extra for fluidsShe had indeed ate the gorilla glue and it had made a cast around her stomach which then required her to have an emergency surgery costing us $When the vet took the X-ray and saw "kibble" it's actually was the glue looking like a castHad she had listened to us on Monday when we first took her in it would have been only been a much cheaper procedure versus and emergency surgery with much less trauma to my dog
Being the Foo I thought the vet was nice so and it could be just a mistakeA while down the road my dog ended up getting pregnant by my other dogWe went to this vet again for routine breeding advice and assistance being first time breedersShe gave us a shot to give my dog two hours after she was done having her possible pups she said she was going to have according to her x-raysMy pet ended up having seven puppies that night on Sundaywhen we tried to give her the shot, it had crystallized so she was unable to get it due to the extreme clog, more than likely coming from either an expired shot or a poorly mixed shotWho have vm family in the medical field that stated needles should never be premixed and given in shoot form due to thisHad my dog gotten she shot in crystallized form it could have killed her!! Being Sunday and the vet office closed we could not give her the shot so the next day we had planned to call the vet and take my dog inThe next morning I stepped out for a bit and came back and my dog ended up having more pupsOne was no longer alive and the other was barely breathingI have rushed her to the vet to look at her and she told me she was a strong pup and just to watch her and to get her goats milk to become stronger if she would not nurse Two hours later my husband ended up rushing her back to the vet again to have her send her to the ER The ER then again event against our vets recommendation saying never to give the dog goat milk because it had to much lactose for the pupThe dog ended up staying at peaks and is now healthy, however when we left peaks they said the most important thing at this point is to get the pup home to the momThat way the mom could get to know her and not reject herWhen I went back to the vet per vet recommendations they ended up taking her and trying to keep her overnightI ended up sending my husband back there to get the pup per the emergency room's recommendationWhen we complained to her about the broken needle she refused to refund us even though she recognized that it had been crystallize and was given to us broken stating it was against office policy to return anything....even if it was broken from the beginNeedless to say we are switching vets for the safety of our dogsI blame her 100% for the loss of one pup...almost Again, she was a nice lady however completely incompetent
To confirm with the other reviews she had also removed to clocks from her office because people had been complaining that it took so long to get serviceI agree 100%

This place had the most lack of compassion I have ever seen especially in my community and the fact that I am a neighbor makes me sick. I took my pet rabbit "Thumper" to this "Animal Hospital" because she had some wire wrapped so tightly around her neck that she was suffocating and I just needed some help clipping it off before she died. I live very close to this place so I rushed there. I was told that they could not help me because they were in a staff meeting and did not deal with rabbits..... My other neighbor rushed over with wire clippers and helped me save "Thumper". By the way my neighbor is not a veterinarian and knows nothing about rabbits...They are very lucky that "Thumper did not die....
