Family Seal

Sorry to say, I would not recommend this business.
I have used Family Seal in the past and the quality of their work was good. Because of their good work, I did want to use them again. However, their sales methods have become very aggressive. I was contacted by [redacted] `by phone and I told him I was not ready to get the work done. He followed up with me every few weeks and I told him I needed to put my money towards something else. He said he understood but he was hard to get off the phone every time. I finally told him that I wouldn't be giving my business to anyone else but I just didn't have the money right now. A few days later he showed up at my home and sought my husband out in our back yard. He talked my husband's ear off and finally my husband signed what he thought was an estimate. [redacted] had been dealing with me and went around me to sell to my husband. He was going to come seal the driveway a few days later and I postponed the sealing with only one day's notice. It was rainy weather and I really wasn't prepared to have it done that soon. I told [redacted] I was probably going to have it done in September. Over the next 3 weeks [redacted] kept calling our house to schedule the job and I told him we were not yet ready. (The contract said we had 6 months to complete the work.) Finally he called us at 9pm on a Saturday night (a very odd time to get a call from a business) and said that we had to schedule the job right away or he would take us to court. He said that we could spend $1000 on a lawyer if we wanted but that he would win because he had a signed contract. He kept yelling on the answering machine that we were "unprofessional" and "rude" for having postponed our driveway sealing with only one day's notice because he had already purchased his supplies. You mean to tell me he had no other customers since then that he could use the sealing supplies on? Wasn't it unprofessional and rude to be yelling on my answering machine at 9pm on a Saturday night? [redacted] tone on our answering machine was quite threatening, as were his words when we called him back that night. The contract did have a buy-out clause so we decided that we would pay him over $130 just to get this scary guy out of our lives. We called him back and told him to come get his money if he was that insistent to call us late on a Saturday night. He refused to come get the money, saying that he couldn't drive. That was odd. He showed up Sunday morning to collect his pay off. There are so many companies out there that I would never suggest that anyone do business with this pushy and unpredictible man!
