I live around the corner from this store and they are always closing early! I came into the store July 54th about ten mins before closing and pulled on the door. It was locked.I went back to my car and called but no answer. There was clearly a car there and the lights were all on PLUS THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CLOSED. I called again and a lady answered. She told me it was ALMOST TEN and they were CLOSED. I told her all I wanted to do was renew a movie but instead I just stuck it in the slot. I spend money there regularly and this is not the first time I've had to complain about this issue! I don't appreciate it at all. Maybe Redbox is the way to go since they don't want customers. I called the next day and asked to speak with the manager and was treated rudely once again..thus this complaint!
My name is *** I am the store manager of the Family Video in ***. I am writing in regards to a complaint with the ID. I attempted to contact the customer *** but was only able to reach her voicemail 7/30/18. I have not yet received a call back from *** in order to resolve the complaint. She has since rented from us and we plan to keep her continued business going forward.
On Thursday I purchased 3 videos at $.799 each or 3 for $21 for 3. Purchased 2 videos at $2.99 each or 2 for $5. Purchased 1 video at $5.99. Clerk rang up individual price instead of 3 for $21 and 2 for $5. Therefore overcharging $3.93 plus tax or $4.24. Clerk could resolve himself.
Clerk called manager. They refused credit unless I drive back to the store in 4 hours. I live 15 minutes away (each direction). That's 1 hour for this trip but the anther trip they are requiring to fixing their math error.
Unclear why Family Video puts the burden on its customers to return to the store multiple visits to fix their math and management issues. I can provide pictures of the video with the pricing and photo of receipt.
In a phone comment to Revdex.com staff *** the company advised the matter had been resolved directly with the consumer.
