Famous Cheer Reviews (2)

My family LOVES Famous Cheer! The coaches are awesome, and my children have advanced at a phenomenal rate with excellent technique since we came to Famous! There are not many gyms in the area, and folks can get pretty tough on each other in this small market; come out and meet the coaches for yourself and let your athlete try a class and meet the other athletes. I am confident that you will love it too!","pos-1

On 6/10/14, My daughter let [redacted] (Co-Owner of Famous Cheer) know that she would no longer be cheering for Famous Cheer. When I confronted [redacted] with what he planned to do with the money that was on my account ($107 cash deposit to be used at my discretion, $160 for April 2015 (prepay for last bill of the month for 2015's cheer year), and $150 practice clothes (that have not been ordered yet and was confirmed by [redacted] and the front office admin), [redacted] informed me he would not be returning any of my money because of a contract. The contract did not spell out cash deposits, or money on things they had not yet been expensed out of the gym yet. I offered to give [redacted] my last months pay of $160 for the first week of June's tuition that had not been paid yet. [redacted] declined my offer and refuses to pay the cash deposit I made as well as the practice uniform costs that the gym has not even ordered yet. The entire 3 years that I was at the gym I had to spend hundreds of dollars in late fees for competition fees even though my payments for all competition fees, monthly fees, etc were always on time. [redacted] simply could not manage his other clients in a manner that allowed him to pay the competition fees on time.Product_Or_Service: Cheer SquadOrder_Number: NAAccount_Number: naDesired SettlementI want a refund of my $107 cash deposit as well as the $150 payment I made for practice clothes that haven't even been ordered. I asked for a reasonable deduction on the 3 classes she took the first week of this month, and asked him to deduct that from my $160 payment for April of next year. I have not even requested that [redacted] reimburse me for all of the 100s of dollars incurred because of the late fees we had to paid for competition fees for the last 3 years.Business Response as to the complaint of made to the Revdex.com we did refund him some of his money against our better judgment just to try and resolve this incident without further arguments. we do not give refunds and it is clearly written in our contract that all our students and parents sign. we also tried to give him his clothes that he did pay for even though we are not required to and he threw the clothes back at us and said he did not want them and wanted his money. regarding any late fees for competition fees. everyone paid the fees and hardly anyone pays competition before the actual events because they do not give refunds and its hard to tell if we are going to go to the competition or not with so many uncertainties in cheer such as injuries or people quitting before a competition that would not allow us to make it. so we always pay when we get to the competition. we have done everything we could do to resolve this complaint but in life you can not make everyone happy and that's a fact. The family that made the complaint never had a problem until their child wanted to quit and wanted a refund of all money they paid. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I went in irate because their business phone don't work and a year later they are still saying their phones aren't working properly. Furthermore they never returned numerous messages left on their VM. As far as they "took care of the issue". The reason they paid me $107 only is because one of the co-owners wife's demanded that they send notices out to those that owed money. They sent me a notice that I owed them almost $500 dollars, and once again I had to go in irate because their phones still don't work, to ask why I was getting a bill. One of the co-owners confirmed they sent the notice in error. I then demanded my money once again and they gave me $105 dollars and my daughters practice clothes from a year before that would no longer fit my daughter. So, clearly they know they are wrong, but still did not refund my money for the practice clothes that they attempted to give to me a year later. I have received several calls from other former parents that have experienced the exact same issues that I have received. The owner's of Famous Cheer have zero business experience. They can't keep their books straight and have sent incorrect bills to numerous people that are currently there as well as ones that haven't been there in a year plus. They still owe me $150 for the practice clothes that we paid for but was never ordered. In fact [redacted] told one of the mother's that there was no way he was giving me the practice clothes, but the other co-owner a year later decides he wants to give them to me. Furthermore, they also owe me $160 from my April tuition that had to be paid in advance, but was never returned to me.
