I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

As of monday april 4th 2016 the over due balance will be forgiving. When replacing and fixing 40 year old furnaces sometimes the older parts are more expensive. When dealing with 40+ year old furnaces as I said before its recommended that the furnace be replaced, for some of the parts get expensive as they age.  I have called and settled the issues with the homeowner all is resolved and balance is 0. Thanks

Mr [redacted] called our after hours emergency phone # on Jan. 4th at 6:31pm. Mr [redacted] uses his fireplaces for his primary heat. He was going to turn his furnace on to help with the fridged temps. He inspected his furnace before turning it on for the 1st time. Mr [redacted] noticed a black soot build...

up on his pilot assembly. This is when he called our emergency #. I Kyle F. talked with Mr. [redacted], after discussing that the issue is in need of service to remedy the problem. We then talked with him the following morn.(1/5/16). We made a service appointment for Thursday 1/7/16. We performed an annual maintenance, which includes removal of burners and pilot assembly. We replaced the thermocouple and re-installed burners and pilot assembly. We looked at the air filter and it was not in need to be changed. He then called back on thec following Tuesday 1/12/16, complaing about the furnace cutting out in the middle of its cycles. He came to his own conclusion that the filter we didnt change is why this issue arrised. We made concessions and made a trip out the same day. We replaced the air filter at his request. The furnace was still acting the same after the air filter was installed. The issue was narrowed down to the fan/limit switch. This switch was not working correctly. The only solve to the issue was to replace the fan/ limit switch. We then replaced it with the factory OEM equiptment. This part is installed in a tight narrow place of the furnace. The switch of the fan side was accidently pushed in. This explains why the fan would not turn off. The 256.72 price tag on this fan limit switch is higher than standard limit switched beacuase of the pre-heater that the switch has. The total bill from visit 1 was 148.99. The total bill from Visit 2 was 351.72. Also we only billed for one hour on the 2nd visit, when total time was 1.75hr. We also took measurements on the furnace for a quote for a new furnace. This was also discussed with Mr. [redacted] that Jan 4th evening on the "emergency call".
