From [redacted] Subject: Concern # [redacted] This e-mail is in response to the concern submitted by Ms [redacted] on May 20, We received a call from this customer on Monday, May 18, regarding gift certificates, worth $25.00, that were won many years beforeAlthough they had no expiration date, the gift certificates were issued by the previously held company, [redacted] which has filed bankruptcy and closedWe acquired the assets of [redacted] (not liabilities, such as paper gift certificates) in and the company was re-named [redacted] As a result, we are not obligated to accept these gift certificates We communicate this to any customer that may contact us regarding previously issued gift certificatesWhile we understand this can be frustrating, this particular customer was very displeased and disrespectful We wish to ensure a harassment-free environment for our staff and support them when they respectfully say 'thank you and have a good day' in order to end this type of conversation The customer called back several times and handled herself in the same manner At no time were we able to gather her contact informationFannie May prides itself on providing our customers with quality chocolates and understands that our customers are critical to our ongoing successAs a result of this concern, we were provided the customer's contact information and were happy to provide a letter of apology as well as - $gift cards for her inconvenience We hope that this will rectify the issue and this customer is able to again enjoy our products in the futureIf you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the number listed below [redacted] ***nds, Inc [redacted] ** [redacted]

We have attempted to reach this customer times with no response, last time was last Wednesday May We tried again Monday May to no avail

We greatly apologize for the inconvenience. The customer was refunded $21.15 on 1/3/17 directly to [redacted] The remaining portion of the order was never charged to the customer. All that was charged to the customer was the $21.15. Thank you very much.
