My 6 months old ridgeback was attacked by another dog while in their care, and they couldn't care less. I was out of state heading back to Nevada when I received a call from them heavily downplaying the incident and calling it a “small scuffle” and saying “we have no idea what really happened”. I told them I will be in Reno in 3 hours and when I came to pick up my dog he was missing a huge chunk of his skin and had a very deep stabbed wound. They told me he stopped bleeding, and that was a lie — he was constantly licking the spot and blood was still coming out. There was not a single employee at the reception desk who could explain how this happened and why they placed an aggressive dog together with others in their daycare. They completely failed to evaluate the other dog’s personality properly and were not around to supervise and notice any signs this was coming. They were not around at the time of the incident either, and all I heard was in cohesive mumbling about having no idea how the attack happened or how long it lasted. When I asked them what they were going to do about the dog that attacked mine, they simply told me they will take it off the daycare list. So they had zero plans of reporting it to animal control and hoping when it attacks next time someone else could deal with it. Everyone at the reception desk sounded like complete i[censored] smiling and telling me my dog was “in good spirits”. He was not — he was in a state of shock.
My vet commented how deep the wound was and how close it came to damaging the rib cage. The poor pup had to be sedated and left with sutures he had to keep for the next 2 weeks while wearing a clinic collar and being on painkillers and antibiotics for the next 10 days. We had big plans for Thanksgiving week and had to cancel those because the dog could not go anywhere.
The bill for the treatment alone was over $500, and I sent an email to the facility asking to refund it since the incident happened due to their complete negligence. Their response was beyond professional: “Our owner James (?) is out of town, but when he would be back in 2 days, he would give you a call to discuss a contract you signed which makes us not liable for injuries your dog received here”. Are you kidding me? My dog was injured because you failed to professionally evaluate the other aggressive dog and left them on the same grounds together. My dog was injured because you were not around to supervise and had no clue what happened and how this happened, which was admitted by everyone I spoke to. You lied to me about the fact that the injury was insignificant, and my dog stopped bleeding when he still bled.
Oh, another thing, if you still consider placing your dog in their care — your pup might starve here. They completely do not follow owner’s requests on how much to feed the dog and how often it should be fed. Yes, they will ask you about that and then still don’t do it! My dog is a large, fast-growing breed. I brought my own food and asked them to feed the dog 3 times a day, 3-4 cups at each meal. Do you think they did that? No. After 3 days they returned me a bag with 80% of his food still being there, which means they fed my dog only 1 cup 2 times a day at the most. He would not stop eating and drinking when he came home. I would never place a dog with special needs here. Their promise to take care of them is plain laughable based on our experience.
This pet care facility refuses to show clients the conditions their pets are kept in? They would not even take a picture and show it to you!

My wife and I love to travel regularly overseas and we had been in several kennels around Reno and Sparks for our two dogs, Cocoa and Mocha.
Last June and July, we decided to board our dogs in Fantasia Pet Resort. After hearing good reviews about this place, we thought of trying it this time. We were not disappointed because the first time I saw the place, I was impressed with the friendliness of staff and the facility is clean and organized.
When my wife picked up our dogs, she was happy because the dogs were so clean and freshly bathed.
We are going again for a two week vacation and we would not have any second thought of trusting our dogs once again under the care of Fantasia Pet Resort.
Keep up the good job!!!","pos-1

My boyfriend & I dropped off our 10 month old 4lb Teacup Maltese with instructions and food,We were told they would do everything on our short list. I labeled the food for each day. When we picked him up in the afternoon on Sunday the girl that was behind the counter was helping someone else, so I walked in the back to get my dog. he was in a room with No Water & NO food. I was very upset. I picked him up and walked out. He had dried poop on him and his face had a red tint on him. I had asked them to wash it off if he gets poop on him. I even left shampoo for him. My boyfriend ask for the rest of his food. The girl said; Ok if you want it. We thought that was weird. By the way She has her large dog there on a regular basis. There was only 1 other small dog there. I asked her why are the dogs locked in the rooms. She said she just put them in there. I don't believe that. The first time I went there No one was supervising the dogs. There were at least 10 dogs in a room. Doing nothing. When we got home. My dog ran to the shower and started drinking the water that was dripping. Then he went out side with my boyfriend and went to the pond and was drinking the water. We gave him more water he drank for a sometime. I was very upset. Puppies needs water and food all day. They are growing. I had asked them to make sure he always has food. I Brought the food so why didn't they give it to him. She is worried about her own dog and not the others. She wants to get you in & out ASAP. My dog also came home with flea's. I will NEVER take my puppy there again. I will be taking him to the Pet Play House.I made it easy for them. He had NO food & No water. I saw for myself. I would like some kind of refund. BEWARE of this place. If you love your dog Don't take them to Fantasia Pet Resort. THERE'S NO EXCUSE FOR THIS!!Desired SettlementREFUNDFinal Consumer Response I received a full refund plus dog food. They came through on there promise.Thx!
